When you ping "going" at it 3 times so your adc doesn't take it, then you try to, but you're ranged, and you miss the last hit.

I suppose. Only problem is that aoe's aren't really the best on ranged champs. Immolate WOULD synergize with bloodpool though. That would be a kinda funny way to proc immolate.

That percent health boost though... on Vlad...

Pretty good sustain, an extra 10% damage on enemies, a slow, manaless.

Yeah, he works pretty well. Early game is kinda shitty for him though

Good to know. I feel like I'd never do it myself as I love doing crazy amounts of damage and never building tank items as him.

Like, yeah, I build WotA, Zhonya's Abyssal, Rabadon's, maybe Liandry's or Rylai's or Void Staff, and then some boots. Build order isn't that necessarily as I get boots before and Abyssal later (or not at all) depending on the amount of magic damage on their team, but yeah. I love that punny son of a bitch.

Reasons I play Vlad:

In the lead? Go offensive!
Buy first for the early cdr and resulting dps boost.
Then for additional dps and offensive utility.
Then for tankbusting to threaten the entire opposing team with your lead. .
Tied? Go balanced!
Buy first for the early sustain, ap-heal scaling, and extra q-heal spamming.
Then for the general unkillableness, chase, and kiting.
Then to round out your tank-busting and ability to outlast all opponents .
Behind? Go defensive!
Buy first for the early sustain and additional heal to survive pokes.
Then for the additional tank and kiting.
Then for tanking and tankbusting utility, to remain useful in teamfights.

In other words...

Vlad... just doesn't care... what happens... ever.

P.S. if someone could tell me how to add line spaces so I don't have to put periods on a new line to keep the outer bullet points from being way too close to the second-level bullet points above, that would be great.

Amen. Although personally I get Zhonya's and maybe Abyssal's if need be, then a Rabadon's later for even more damage, ergo health. Also sadly Idk how to do that.

My last item is usually a struggle between zhonya's and rab's. The few times I've gotten to rab's, it's such a major boost to health and healing, it feels like it's innately superior to any defense option anyway. Probably not true, BUT IT FEELS LIKE IT. IT FEELS AMAZING. I'M BUYING RAB'S FROM NOW ON. IT'S SETTLED, AS OF RIGHT NOW.

But... if you ever feel like making poor decisions, you might as well make EDUCATED poor decisions. So here's some advice from a pro Vlad support (I'm like... the best Vlad supp out there right now. Heck, I might be the only one!)

PRO TIPS: Vlad's laning phase is usually a war of attrition against melee targets. He's not a big sudden burster, and he really needs fairly lengthy respites between trades to q-heal up. Unfortunately, for a ranged champ, he's actually at the low end of ranged, which is a problem in botlane when you're against a double ranged duo often.

Basically every time you try to poke botlane, you're gonna lose half your health. How to make it worth? DON'T KEEP DOING IT... ... i.e. don't buy spellthief, 'cause then you'll keep doing it. Get relic. "But I don't get the melee passive waaaah". Big whoop. Your q is great for last hitting anyway, and is maxed first as a standard rule. Plus, it's really satisfying getting a relic heal on an ability that heals. It also means the respite between pokes will be less, since you have an additional ranged relic heal! And besides, you build ap off of health, so Face of the Mountain aint a bad choice. Meanwhile, spellthief mana regen? You can't flaunt that, and Vlad is all about flaunting.

You can check if they have a charge, for cannon minions you should always do this as an adc, if you don't it's your own fault for missing it. Unless they're thresh do have a charge but just fail to last hit -.- SMH.

I think you misread what I said. I always let my support take cannons. and I always keep my eye on how many charges they have, and when the next one will be up. I was saying it annoys me when a cannon is there and the support kills a caster (lowest gold value minion, btw) instead on their last charge.
