I ran with a jungler who was everywhere at once and got asked this every time he ganked top by the enemy top lamer. He responded "you know, that would make me more comfortable".

I ended up muting the enemy top lane due to the toxic vitriol that ensued. I thought it was funny.

So have I. Climbed from Bronze V to Gold II in season 3. There's really not that huge a difference. Is one better? Certainly. But I wouldn't go as far as to say there's a huge difference.

There is a huge difference, I don't deny that both Silver and Bronze are scrubs, but SIlvers are SIGNIFICANTLY better. Think how bad bronze players are, and think how bad someone has to be to be STUCK in bronze. Silvers, especially Silver 2 and Silver 1 are exceedingly better than Bronzes.

I was stuck in Bronze... Lost promo series like 10 times, no exaggeration. Then, once I was in silver, I shot up to Silver I and then was stuck there for another 10+ promo series(es? how to plural plurals? grammar2hard plis). And then I shot up to gold II in the span of like 2 days, skipping 1 or 2 ranks.

So when people whine about how bad people who are "stuck" in a tier are, I have trouble believing they're just innately awful players. Being stuck in bronze can mean a lot of things-- even being "bad" has a variety of meanings. Maybe you're stuck in Bronze because you're a mechanical god but all you care about are kills so it never translates to a win. Or maybe because you're toxic and can't coordinate a team? Or maybe because you're not strong mechanically but you have a good grasp on game flow and strategy. There's a million reasons to be "not good enough" for a tier above bronze but the fact of the matter is those players aren't necessarily "bad." They just have a road block or two.

Myself, I'm a mechanically terrible player. What is positioning? lel What is skillshot? lel. Map awareness? What even is that? Throw me back in bronze and there are some lanes I might lose (especially with new Veigar. I cry every teim). I might struggle with jungle pressure as much as the next "bronzie scrub." It's hard to say those players are bad.

There's a pretty big difference between mid gold and bronze v but to be honest, even then a lot of it is purely mechanical. Plenty of gold players have shitty prioritization too. Too many kills, not enough turrets and the like...

I've played in Bronze, Silver, and Gold and I'm telling you that it's all in your head. It doesn't seem like there's a big difference because you haven't played against Bronze 5s in a while. Make a smurf and go into bronze and you'll see what I mean. When you belong in bronze the players there don't seem that bad, but when you improve and go back to playing against those players you realize how bad they are

It is one of the smaller gaps, and bronze 1 vs low silver are probably the same. The vast majority of players are silver and bronze so there is more variance and better chance they are stronger or weaker than their rank suggests. Higher elo/mmr has so few people that if the person playing is the one who got that account to the elo then they are probably similar skill level to most of the others that rank, where as bronze/silver has more variance because of the large number of players.
