I usually go 2 or 3 points into E first then max Q. Extra damage is more valuable early on than slightly shorter CD CC.

Sometimes, I do try to click on it. But if the enemy is smart, they will stand on top of it, and instead of clicking, I just autoattack.

The lantern has never failed me, except when the enemy gets on it and blocks the clock box or a minion does it. Oh and one time someone placed a pink on top of it and I ended up auto attacking the pink instead of grabbing the lantern and it was too late.
