Well, not precisely tried it. They're just listed as friends and the wiki states "they are close friends". I think what happened was Wukong was lacking in personality, Ahri was lacking in any form of interaction with other champs and both of them were released around the same time, so Riot probably put them as friends to kill two birds with one stone. (unless there was something that just happened recently that I'm not aware of .__.) Personally I'd like to see her also have a friendship with MasterYi so they can be the dynamic trio, where Wukong and Ahri get into mishaps from not understanding human society well and Yi having to bail them out and teach them how to act appropriately around humans.
