Hey guys , this is actually the current problem in low elo. Theres a lot of smurfs, in my last 20 games i either get smurf in my team and stomp the enemy team or they get a smurf and stomp my team. Which is kinda unfair for both parties... In this game i got a challenger smurf that was 700lp season 9. See how easy win was that , with all my mistakes i easily won the game which is so unfair.
There isn't enough high elo players(dia+) to realisticaly influence lower elo, plats are trash, hardly distinguishable from golds, so they doesn't really count. Dia+ players will get to their elo pretty quickly, at least mmrwise.
Any proof that he really was challanger? He already lost one game, while he faced only one "smurf"(52% in 25 games) in enemy team.
Let's go through 10 last ranked games of yours, but first, let's clarify who smurf is. It's player who doesn't belong into elo he is playing at, which can be roughly guessed by their wr. Ok. So out of 90 players you met, 11 were "smurfs". But. 7 of them had wr in range from 46%-55% wr(one had only 13 ranks, so maybe bad luck), 3 were unranked(your chall smurf inclueded, one with 2 wins 2 losses and one with 2 wins) and one had 68% wr in 25 games.
So, at best, you met 5 smurf in 10 games(5% of players you played with might be smurfs), not sure how much influence could these have over players that play hundreds of games.
I do not know what you expect riot to do about smurfs.. anyone can make a new account and there is no way to determine what skill level they are at..
they can make them stop making accounts ... one phone number per account same as in dota2 ... you need to verify the number and account and when you log in you get a notification on league + app that gives you a password so you can unlock the play button so you kill hackers to steal the account and play on it selling accounts is way difficult and who is stupid get 10 + phone numbers ... no problem get them buddy waste money IDC but some of them would consider that as lame and they would need to change the number on phone to get in the app and get the code and get frustrated by doing that if they want to change back to another not to mention that they spend money on the phone number (In some countries you pay lot for phone number or it gets canceled after you run out of money on it or dont pay for the bill ext . depends on country)
It's a problem, and it always will be a problem, unfortunately. Riot should have linked cell phone numbers to a single League account like Clash, and kept it that way so people couldn't smurf.
As a Diamond player, I shake my head at those that make smurfs because they either don't want to lose their rank, or just want to stomp low ELO people.
It's sad, really, because it hurts the community. Just remember, they're doing it because they either need to feel better about themselves by stomping lowbies (because they're too insecure and scared to lose their "main account" rank), or they're genuinely terrible people who just like stomping for the fun of it. Someone will come along and either absolutely ruin them in their own rank, or a troll will indirectly get back at them for you in a bitter-sweet revenge.
Even if they ruin your games, know that you can have the last laugh if you remember those things.
