Me waiting for Riot to release the new champion
I wonder how many dashes/jumps he/she will have. Kappa.
When they first post the champion roadmap in August, I saw a lot of discussion about the champion, but the one I think has the highest probability is that the champion will be from Bilgewater, specifically, the native tribe of the Blue Flame Isles.
The flower in the teaser artwork was a tropical flower, with the blue insignia underneath it was similar to the tribal designs of the Blue Flame Isles. If it's not that, my guess is they're from Kumungo.
To get more champion specific, we already know it's a mage, but I get the feeling it'll probably be a Mage/Enchanter hybrid, similar to Karma and Morgana. I also get the feeling they will probably be a human, and a man at that, though probably around Lux and Ezreal age group, so between 18 and 25. My only real reason for thinking it will be a man is because Zyra already fills out the "female flower mage" aesthetic, with her own demented twist. Sure, there is Ivern and Maokai, but they fall under the more classical treant, with Ivern fulfilling the more peaceful interpretation while Maokai fulfills the more aggressive side of the myths.
I think it's the younger painter girl. Also commenting just to remove this empty space.
An Ink Mage is an idea that Riot has had for a long time but they didn't knew how to proceed with such a thematic for a champion. I really hope they go through with this, something like this would be really interesting/unique to see.
Grandma with Invoker-style gameplay is my guess. Bonus points if she has no mobility. One can only dream, though.
funny you say invoker because look at this kit: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/jVXjw8h5-champion-concept-maura-the-ghost-painter. and the name in this is also Maura and she's a ghost/ink mage who's spells are blue red green and black! she also has a very invoker style of gameplay and a syndra like tempo to her kit.
