It's a joke video about people not knowing that LP gains are actually determined by your hidden MMR compared to others in the match and how much in sync your hidden and visible ratings are to one another.

This is in contrast to just being 1:1 with your win-loss ratio.

At the same time it’s funny because someone that has a 55% winrate should kinda be climbing.

I’m 55% +14/-20 (weighted average puts me at -1.3 at my current winrate. I need roughly 60% winrate to climb...

That’s why they are reset dropping people down in diamond. It is extremely grindy to win enough to climb through D4. Even if I win 2/3 of my games that’s only 8LP gains it would take 40ish games to move up a tier.
