I get that players are locked for this week but I cannot trade out my EU players ATM for other players for next week right now. Last year add/drop would accommodate for add/drop for the following week regardless of what the current week is doing once the players are locked.

FuseTech2 votesThis is by design. Riot had posted an explanation of how rosters this season will work few days ago (sorry no link). It is caused by having separate roster locks dates for EU and NA.
My guess is this is to avoid the confusion of adding an EU player effective week 3, and dropping an NA player effective week 2 (thinking both were going to be week 3)
