player alternates need to be bundled with primaries

So I am playing a fantasy league with a couple friends just a small 4 man and we all unanimously agree that it doesn't make sense to ever pick a teams alternate because they straight up don't play as often, but little did we know some teams have certain players that only play about half the time so why would you ever pick them either? This leaves a very small pool of players that actually play and score decently especially since we house ruled you cant play EU players since they have a strict advantaged point wise.

So my question/request is to include a fantasy league option that includes alternates when you pick a player or to word that better you are not picking a player but a teams position regardless of the player. ~ EX. peanut & Huni or Impact & Ray ~

I think it would be an easy option to add and I have to imagine other league like ours think it feels lame to win or lose because you scored 0 points on a player due to them deciding to just not play especially when its not announced before hand. Most recent example my brother beat his opponent in our league because froggen didn't play despite froggen playing 100% of the games up to this point. This robbed both players of a feeling of satisfaction.
