[Champion Concept] Gilgamash, the Martyr from the Void

Prologue/Prequel:

Screams surrounds him, agony and sorrow lies in the air. From one painful headache to another, he tried to stand up on his feets.

"Where the heck am I?"

He arrived in a strange world, abstruse creatures are walking from place to place, noone recognizes him. The headaches are greater and greater and the fear in himself becomes reality.

"What just happened? I-I can't believe that this is reality! This must be a nightmare! COME ON! WAKE UP!"

Even hurting himself didnt help at all, except he now realizes that he can't be dreaming. Despite suspiousness, he walked some steps further while holding his head and carefully tries to not to attract attention by someone.

"My head is about to explode. I see strange pictures.."

Almost weak to further talk and walk, he decided to lay down and take a rest. His body became ice cold and his mind seems to be lost. One of the strange creatures saw him and went immediately to him. The mysterious creature grabs him high and looks at him curiously.

"Arrre ya lost, my frrriend? I smell ya arrre a strrrong warrrrrioorrr! Have ya got sacrrrificed ?"

Even though his power was low, with the grip of the creature his power somehow was regained. Able to get the hands off from the creature and have a normal talk with him.

"What do you mean by sacrifice? I was on a mission until I got in seconds away from there and now I am here in this strange place. My head nearly explodes and I am pretty sure it won't be easy to get out of here."

With all of his power, he tries to keep a position that makes him look strong, but he feels again that his power is slowly draining out somehow.

"Well, I also smell that you was teleporrrted! No doubt forrr no rrreason! You arrre mighty, but you lose your strrrength! This is the void, forrr men it is a place wherrre you get killed! So let me consume you and I be the strrrongest herrrre!"

The creature grabs him and was close to devour him. Fortunately, his powers are again regained and with one single strike with his hand, he pierced the creature's head through. But right after he killed him with this strike, a strange fluid was spreading out of the creature's body. Unfortunately, it went into his mouth and he coincidentally swallowed a bit from it.

"This smell.. MY HEAD EXPLODES! I CAN'T TAKE THE PAIN! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!"

While he fells down on the ground, he could swore that he was seeing a little girl. After he crushed down, he feels pain and sorrow, right after, he was unconsious.

"Taken from the records:

Day 01: Me, Phile and my assistant Gorge are starting now with the Summoning. After successfull summoning, we may enter the League and enjoy honor and fame. Day 24: Me and my assistant are trying again and are still not able to summon a human. Day 31: After a accident, our laboratory got destroyed after summoning a void creature. Fortunately, it was just a small creature that only destroyed some unworthy stuffs. After a discussion, we decided to set first a cage in order to keep another creature away from dealing damage to surrounding object or even us.

Day 44: We tried to summon a human, but in the middle of the ritual, my assistant destroyed my precious picture of me and my parents! I had to break up and to discipline Gorge. Day 45: We successfully summoned a warrior from a other world! After research, we found out that he has to be a warrior by his muscles and well trained body. The tragedy is that he won't speak with us or atleast he seems to be in pain or confusion. We will keep an eye on him until he may regain his strength.

Day 52: My assistant Gorge is somehow disappeared. It may be he has stolen my research and gets his own reputation without me. This son of a...

Day 60: The summoned warrior is still laying on the ground. I decided to get him out of the cage and look at his status. After a briefly look, he seems to have a trauma and his body somehow turns in different colors. He seems also to bleed, some of his cloths are blood dry. I'm not sure what to do yet, but I will keep him further in the cage.

Day 63: The warrior woke up, but his eyes are completely purple. Is this a coincidence or has my summoning skill did this to him? I need to further investigate. He eats what I give to him, but he just keeps stammering "pain and sorrow" all the time.

Day 65: Half of his body is transforming in something that I have never seen before. He has now four arms and his face is half gone. I think I have to call help, something isnt going right here an..

Taken from the report of the League: We are sorry to tell, but Phile and Gorge were killed by a summoned void creature as it seems. Both tried to summon a human from another dimension, but they seem to fail at it and have sent in our world a another fierce and cruel creature. We have to admit that we currently don't know where he actually is, but the records from Phile says what we have to expect.

To all people in Valoran, if you encounter a dark person with a Greatsword on his back, four arms, a long and purple shining mantle, a wooden staff, and a ferocious look, then don't hesitate to call us immediately! We need to capture the creature with all costs."

Appearance:

Gilgamash was a human from another world. His appearance was similiar to a younger Garen, but with a thin body.

After entering the Void, he became a Voidling.

He wears a black breastplate. A long and purple mantle on his back.

His head is fully covered by a helm. Only his eyes turn out purple.

The Greatsword has both sharp edges.

The Staff is wooden and on the top of it there is sharp metal.

He also has four arms, with each two on left and right side he carries his Greatsword and the Staff.

In the middle of his elbows and in the middle of his knees, instead of flesh, there are dark purple balls/spheres.

Abilities:

Gilgamash uses Mana for the skill costs

Passive "Void Mixer": While Gilgamash has full life, healing effects, heal regen, lifesteal and spell vamp will apply to mana. Additionaly, everytime when Gilgamash uses a skill, he gains 10%/20%/30% Lifesteal and Spell Vamp for the next 2 seconds. (Cooldown: 6/5/4)

Q (Dash/Damage/Summon ability) "Swordcall": Gilgamash dashes with his Greatsword first to the target location within 650 range. For every one enemy unit he hits, he creates on arrival instantly one void creature for each enemy unit hit (1/2/3/4/5 max). Additionaly, he deals 40/50/70/90/110 physical damage (+50% attackdamage) on impact (Only on impact). However, "Swordcall" can't be used to go through enemy units. It will struck Gilgamash immediately on impact.

The void creatures deals 20/40/60/80/100 physical damage on hit and have 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% of Gilgamash's movement speed and health, and gains 100% movement from Gilgamash if Gilgamash attacks a enemy Champion further with basic attacks. The creatures lives for 5 seconds, are targetable and receive lower damage from minions/monsters, but higher damage from enemy Champions.

The void creatures will prefer to attack enemy Champions. For each attack from a void creature on the target, the target receives one stack. Upon reaching 5 stacks, in the next 4 seconds, the damage from Gilgamash and the Void Creatures are increased by 20%.

If Gilgamash uses "Swordcall" while "Dimensional Diversion" is active, he goes through enemy units with "Swordcall". Every enemy unit went through lets Gilgamash spawn his void creatures on arrival.

Mana Costs are: 50/60/70/90/100

CD: 15/13/11/9.5/8

W (Fear - Heal - CC) "Heresy": Gilgamash uses his staff, he drains the life from enemy units around him within 400 range. Every enemy unit that he has reached with "Heresy" is feared for 0.25/0.5/0.75/1/1.25 seconds, are damaged by 40/60/80/100/120 physical damage (+ 20% attack damage) (+100% ability power) and 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% of the damage done heals Gilgamash.

If Gilgamash uses "Heresy" while "Dimensional Diversion" is active, the healing with this ability is increased to 60%/70%/80%/90%/100%.

Mana Costs are: 70/80/90/110/130

CD: 18.5/15.5/13/10/8 seconds

E (Invulnerability to Skillshots & Projectiles - Teleport) "Dimensional Diversion":

Passive: Gilgamash receives 5%/8%/10%/12%/15% lesser damage from any source.

Active: Gilgamash body fades away until he is slightly visible. After using the ability, all skillshots and projectiles will go through him. Duration: 0.5 seconds.

If "Dimensional Diversion" is activated and a skillshot goes through him, he can recast the ability to immediately teleport behind the person who shot at Gilgamash. If a projectile from a basic attack or a ability is in air to attack Gilgamash and Gilgamash casts "Dimensional Diversion" before it hits him, he can recast too.

Whenever Gilgamash uses a ability while "Dimensional Diversion" is active he cancels "Dimensional Diversion", being not anymore invulnerable against skillshots and projectiles.

Mana Costs are: 40/60/80/100/120

CD: 10/9/8/7/6

R (Skillshot) "Martyr of the Void": Gilgamash throws a copy of his Void Greatsword in a direction (700 range) while the Greatsword spins around. The Greatsword deals on first hit 100/200/300 physical damage (+50% attack damage), the projectile speed is very fast and the Greatsword will after 700 range spin back to its wearer, Gilgamash. Additionaly to the first hit damage, everyone who stays within the Greatsword gets damaged by 50/100/150 physical damage (+100% ability power) for every second.

This ability can be recast to slow the projectile speed for 1.5 seconds and can be recast everytime again to slow it while the Greatsword is spinning around.

Mana Costs are: 100/200/300

CD: 90/70/50 seconds

Could always use more void champs, like the idea. Feedback time!

The summary

-Possibly make him cost health instead of mana?
-Possibly making voidlings on Q 50% defense and giving base damage + ratio per -hit?
-Try to take out the healing on W if you have that passive
-Try to reduce the CC, too much for a non-ult ability (Amumu's R is 2 sec, Jax's E is 1 sec)
-Jump off of enemy cast in E can be overwhelmingly confusing, try to use a simpler mechanic
-A little confuzzled on what you mean for R's recast

Reasoning

Passive
Love the idea of the overhealing->mana! However, allowing lifesteal, spellvamp and healing effects apply to it as well is a bit redundant and overly strong. Any over healing caused by a good, high AP backed, spell would essentially make all of his abilities MORE than free. Imo just apply health regen for it, so it's a great sustain mechanic by adding HP5 to your MP5 at full.

Also great idea, gives great momentum and I can really see it being fun to use. 50% of all stats however seems very high. Think about it, for those 5 seconds you have 250% + yourself attacking a single target. If that target doesn't have AOE then there is literally nothing they can do, and no counterplay = not good. A good workaround can be adjusting it to 50% of his defenses (HP, armor, MR) and set flat damage per attack on the voidlings, and possibly give an AD ratio, that would not only balance it a bit better but also make it easier for you to tune them further.

I can see where you were going with this, but this ability does too much of everything, it's cluttered. If you want to keep this as a non-ult ability I suggest taking out the health return in the ability. Don't forget you have spellvamp in your passive! If you force a player to use a combo to chain the passive with the W you'll accomplish the same thing as before but allow the player to show skill. Also, the fear cc is way too high, most AOE cc in the game currently that are not ults last between Riven at 0.75 secs to Nami with 1.5 (but that has an insanely small AOE). Building off of my previous suggestion you could (imo) either a)keep the duration but half the range, going back to normal range with E combo or b)keep the range but half the duration, bringing it back with the E combo.

I've personally been wanting to see a true ghost ability for a little while, and I think that you can definitely make it work here. Be very careful about having enemy cast having an effect on character movement, if played right by an enemy they can effectively do the same effect as a blitz grab. That and it would be very hard to know where you will end up by casting this in the middle of a team fight, but you would want to for the projectile immunity. I suggest to pull back a bit and go with a bit of a simpler effect that a player can control easier, like physical damage immunity but no jump, or 20% reduced damage from all sources and a short targeted blink.

R Great idea, but I'm a bit confused on what you mean with the multiple re-casts. Do you mean he can keep recasting and keep slowing it until it crawls? Or are you just saying he can cast it during the throw? Have you considered increasing the projectile speed and have the re-cast just stop the sword's linear travel for 1.5 seconds?

Overall
All in all I can see where you're going but I feel like I'm reading 3 different jumbled together. You enough cc for a support, enough mobility and sustain for a fighter, and enough damage to almost be a carry. Think about what role you would like to see him in and take another look-over.

I kind of get the feel of "martyr" from the lore but the more and more I got into the kit I kept thinking "berserker", there is very little sacrifice involved in his playstyle. Have you considered making him manaless and instead have eveything cost an amount of health? It would do well with the passive proc.

Sorry for the wall of text! By no means take this as "I did not like it" or "DO THIS DO THIS", I'm just thinking out loud here.

I like the idea but there are some flaws, some of which have been pointed out already. The biggest flaw i see though is the amount of voidlings and the damage output they have. If u were to have them as part of the skill them you should either A. reduce the amount to 1 or 2, or B. reduce their stats and have them attack random nearby enemies just like Malzaharmalzahar's does. That's my advice though.
