Every weekend I upload a video for the series "Unorthodox Bot Lane" where my friend and I play unorthodox bot picks and try them out against regular bot compositions. My friend and I play a lot of Tristana Jinx or Caitlyn duo bot lane. There isn't much an enemy adc can do about it. They get out ranged and out damaged almost no matter what support they have.

Can I suggest Corki support? You and your adc need to be EXACTLY on the same page for it to work, but at lvl 1 or 2, braum is the only support against whom you won't win an all-in, if your adc goes in RIGHT when you do, and you get your gatling gun's full duration on the enemy support and/or adc. If you win the all in, max e and keep repeating. If you lose, max Q and poke them down until you can go for the kill.

At level 9, assuming she's running flat armor seals, Jinx has 57.5 armor.

At level 9, Corki's E, if applied for the full duration, shreds 40 armor.
Armor pen reds ignore 12 armor.
Jinx is effectively taking true damage.

Too bad I can't afford so much stuff.... Already spent all my IP for champions that I did not own... Gonna run out of possible compositions (except for free rotation champions) soon and will need to play more casual games to gain extra IP :) Btw, did you try this combo before? You seem to know every detail about it :)

Haha, I've done corki support a fair share. I like to build him ap, actually.

You can use this build in mid or support:

item 3116 item 3151 item 3020 item 3135 item 3165 item 3071

I recommend rushing brut no matter which role, followed by all your cdr, then liandries if mid and rylais/BC if support. Then fill out the rest of your build as as needed.

The downside here is that all of those items are necessary to be relevant late game, so while support corking can and should buy a gold item* and ss, you'll have to sell it if the game drags on.

*coin if you're facing a lane with lots of harass, spellthief otherwise. With spellthief, you will need many red pots.

oh, and a final thing. Find my AP corki runes/masteries here. Same for mid and supp.

Unconventional, I know. But it works.

You need the hybrid pen runes (as opposed to mpen) and the AD masteries in order to support your early game - if you try to win trades and clear waves with abilities alone, you'll quickly run oom.
Corki's AP scaling on Q, your main harass ability, is quite poor, while the base is awesome. Giving yourself penetration is all you need to make your q deal tons of damage.
Tank masteries make you beefier early. This is super important for winning trades, because...
Going deeper in offense doesn't give you much early, and lategame most of your damage is coming from liandrylai + void staff aoe, anyway.
In teamfights, you want to use your gatling gun to shred as much armor as possible. This means being in the enemy's face. This means you need to be a little tankier. Tank masteries help with that. So do the scaling resistances, which synnergize nicely with liandrylai's HP.
If you want to go full AP and use lich bane, you might as well just build AD corki with triforce. You'll have better dps, AND lifesteal to help you survive.

The one caveat about AP corki built this way, is that he has a MASSIVE POWER DIP mid-game unless you get fed early. This is because:

You need mana regen (and more than an idol - you need your 'nomicon) or you'll run oom quickly.
You need penetration (sorc and guise) or you'll deal no damage.
You need a brutalizer or you'll have a tough time trading/csing early.

I usually start LS + 3 red pots, or spellthief + 3 red pots, depending on mid/supp.

Then I guess we'll have to try this combo. :) Just one question - how did you farm? Did only one of you farm or did you both farm at the same time? We usually split the roles - one farms and the other usually buys first supp item to get some free gold of it.

One way to play it is Frostfang Tristana, your E is already a potent DoT, making it even more potent (and racking up the cash). On top of that the AP on it helps your all in with extra initial burst + resets.

I don't know how s/he did it, but it's one way to get it done (which is slightly less efficient since the tris nerfs).

Jinx support isn't too shabby either. Your w, when maxed does a LOT of damage on a short cooldown, and if you max your q, you also get a lot of safe poke (not to mention, you can take towers like a boss, if you get a jungle gank).

I bought a support item - i can't remember which now, either coin or frostfang, but I left the last hitting to the Jinx, who is a good ADC main.

I'm a fan of unorthodox everything. The few times I've gotten a friend to duo with me bot I've had great success with any combination of Annie, Alister, and Blitzcrank. Annie with either of the others is a standard carry and support combo, Annie farming with free q's. Ali Blitz is a hilarious combo of endless CC that can obliterate most bot pairs. For both I'd suggest getting someone to ADC top so your team is well balanced.

Once Gnar is out pairing him with anyone that has AoE CC (and/or burst) is something that could really be funny. At level 6, you can basically go in the brush, poke with rang to get 100 fury, then jump on them (AoE damage + slow), Ult (AoE displacement + stun), W (AoE Stun) and Q (AoE slow) for massive cc and burst. I'm still not sold on frosfang since you become extremely reliant on catching boomerang, maybe Targon would be better.

Heck, if you c an find a way to let Renekton farm semi reliably level 1-6, Gnar-Renek would probably be totally bonker.

EDIT : Renekton was used with Riven... I suggest Cassiopeia, Zac, Velkoz or Annie/Viktor then... Maybe AD Malz or Fiora if you want someone AD.

Looking forward to watching some of these later. These remind me of my buddy and I pre level 30. We did really well with a Pantheon(me)/Morgana(buddy) bot lane. Jump in for stun makes the binding really easy to hit for a nice CC combo. Combine that with Pantheons strong early strength onto squishy targets and you can have some fun times.

I'd recommend it if you are looking for a composition to try out.

I'd like to see how Leona and Orianna would work as a pair. "In theory", the ball delivery system on Leona would be popping sunlight all over the place...

Already did Thresh and Blitz - gonna upload it next week. I refuse to play any games with Gnar since I absolutely hate this champion (played a few games wit him and that champion is just not for me), but I might think about Blitz and Braum or Yasuo and Janna. I might delay Yasuo and Janna for a while since I did an episode with Yasuo last week though. Could you please tell me more about the synergy between Blitz and Braum? :)

i wasn't the one playing against them but my guess is the hook followed by the knock up followed by braum's passive followed by braum's q if they aren't dead yet pretty much guaranteed a kill because you'd lock them down for a while

Yeah, that's a hard CC, even in the mid-late game. So who would be the damage dealer in this combo? :)
