Quinn needs some love! Classic Quinn cosplay progress.

Hello everyone!

Quinn was one of the champions I knew that at her release, I just **had ** to have her. I haven't given her the attention she deserves in-game, but after cosplaying a few of my favorite video game ladies I've decided to work on Quinn next.

Here is the cape so far. Thanks to all the Halloween costume stores out there I've also found a teal-colored morph suit to use as the under-layer. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to detail so I'm digging my own grave here trying to work on all the details (I bet you didn't see that she has wing-shaped clips on the sides of her legs, or that she has a small square pouch hanging off her quiver), and plan on working on this a bit slowly in my free time...but any tips or feedback would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hopefully this helps. This is the paintover I did on top of her in-progress model when we finalized her design. It's not the best quality, and some of the elements in some of the views should be ignored as we ended up changing them. Mainly the gauntlet. But it should give you an idea about construction and details :)

You know, it makes me sad when champions like Ahri who have tons of people include her in fanart, fanfiction, and cosplay and flood the internet with that stuff but champions like Quinn rarely get the same treatment. I've always wondered, if Quinn was a top tier champion and making plays in the LCS, would the same popularity hit Quinn? Or is it her design that just doesn't catch people's interest. I think Riot should step up in representing the underloved Champions in their game. We had an Ahri nendoroid for the World Championship and a cinematic that had Katarina again when Riot could have used another Champion to show off. The new log in screen for the updated Summoners Rift has Vi and she's been showing up in a lot of official art recently. God forbid Leona gets so much love and representation for IronStylus' sake that it seems kind of unfair for other Champions to even get a chance.

Sorry for my rant. I'm just glad someone is showing some not so popular champions some love.

I think Kat has sorta become one of the main mascots of LoL, probably in part due to her being in all the early cinematics plus in a lot of the wall papers they offer. In most skin previews from site such as Surrender@20, Kat is always the other champion. Vi is in the pic for the SR because they are showing the new Golem, a jungle monster, and Vi is a popular jungler. Plus her mecha-fists just look awesome :P

See that's the thing. Wouldn't it be better if there wasn't really one single mascot champion and instead all the champions could be considered mascots for the game? I for one would like to see more non-popular champions getting front page exposure like Katarina and Vi. Sure Vi's Mecha Fists look awesome, but I'm sure Sejuani and Bristle or hell even Shaco would look just as awesome if they were put in a similar position as Vi, who already has a Vi vs Jinx artwork. Vi's also a popular Jungler which somewhat translates to a popular champion. Giving Vi another awesome shot like that doesn't really help the non-popular champs and their gains in popularity.

Agreed. What irks me is all the featured game mode sketches featuring Ziggs. Quinn, Heimy, and other champions (I'm sure) can draw too. I know I was really surprised with the announcements for Mecha Aatrox and Malph. With the ward skin and icon, it was almost an event.

It's odd to see countless fan arts made of Miss Fortune, Teemo, Gnar, Riven, Taric, Cait, etc. while pretty much all tanks are glossed over and ignored. Putting Nautilus and Graves in the New Dawn cinematic was really, really cool to see. Also 3 out of 4 of Riot's big showy fight cinematics have Ryze...for some reason. I'm really curious as to why. He's really unassuming. If Riot puts Yorick, Corki, Poppy, Zac, Quinn, or Varus in some more cool promotional stuff, that'd be great.

I'm not sure, but I think the featured game mode image is an edit of the original Ziggs promo, which is why he is in them. Also, since a lot of them are crazy, having the somewhat insane yordel kinda fits. It would be awesome though if they cycled through different champs as a mascot.

Valor is going to be built last. I plan on making a wire-frame version that can attach to the gauntlet. He's the last piece that's going to be made though :(
