Ryze Good ol' Ryze, le balanced man of bouncy electrical attacks and FREE stuns. Here's my plan to update his kit for more interesting gameplay. Ryze PLEASE COMMENT.

**Passive: Rune Mastery. ** The effect is decided by your runes and masteries! Having the most points in the Offense mastery tree give Q a 5 second shorter cooldown, having the most in Defense gives W a 5 second shorter cooldown, and having the most in Utility gives E a 5 second shorter cooldown. Meanwhile, all his runes affect the stats granted when he ults.

Q: Overload- 750 range. Ryze projects a burning red wave of crackling electricity, which costs Mana per second, and can maintain the cast for as long as he has Mana. If he runs out of Mana, he can continue to cast it by using his own Health. If Ryze lost HP casting Overload, he will be blown backwards at the end of the spell for a distance equal to HP lost (100 units for 10%,-750 for 99%). Overload goes on CD when Ryze stops casting or when he reaches 1% HP. CD- 15 seconds. 50 Mana per second+1% max mana per second, or 250 Health per second

W: Rune Prison- 500 range. Ryze creates a ghostly hand hovering above his target for a 3.5 second duration. This does not stop movement, and if the target does not cast an ability or attack Ryze with a basic attack for 3.5 seconds, Rune Prison will dissipate. If they use an ability or attack Ryze, their ability or attack will occur as normal, and then the hand will clamp down around them like a cage, rooting them in place for (.75/1/1.25/1.5 1.75) seconds, dealing damage, and refunding some of Ryze's Mana cost. CD- 15 seconds. 25 Mana if it roots, 75 if it doesn't root

E: Spell Flux- 250 range bouncing skillshot. Ryze unleashes an orb of magical power which bounces to enemy units or himself within 200 range, up to 5 times (for a total of 6 hits), dealing damage (50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 (+ 25% AP) (+ 5% of max mana)) and reducing MR on hit. Every new target hit gives Ryze a brief boost of speed, stacking up to 110 bonus Movement Speed for 3 seconds, and allies hit are granted Mana. Flux has a range of 250 inbetween bounces, and will bounce to targets nearest to the mouse allowing "steering". 15 second CD. 50/60/70/80/90 Mana.

R:Thornmagicks/Desperate Power- "Right back at you": 1000 range. Passively, Ryze reflects a portion of damage from every attack to his attacker as magic damage 10 (+%1Mana). Actively, Ryze increases the strength of his Runes for every enemy around him for seven seconds [up to 5x the power], and changes his basic attacks so that they are now melee, wildly whipping his magically empowered arms so that they and knock back enemies he hits away from him. 55 second CD.

This rework would really fit with his lore of desperately protecting his scroll with his life and possessing self-destroying thorn magic-- W and R are geared for protecting himself, Q has powerful magics that rip his body apart, and E is the magic overflowing from him and shit. Gameplay-wise, Q is now a skillshot, adding to the skill requirement of Ryze slightly as he devastates an area with impressive red lightning. It can also allow him to escape when on low HP or even chase while low by gathering power and booming backwards over a wall Caitlyn style. ** W** keeps its targeted mechanism so Ryze can have a counter to dash-heavy attackers, but now has counterplay from the enemy as they can instead choose to be silenced for the duration while moving around freely, or they can take the risk of firing off an ability before they get imprisoned and punished for their actions. It loses power as lockdown for allies to hit a target, but gains defensive power. E stays pretty much the same, but gives Ryze some mobility options as well as valuable support options. R changes a pretty passive ult to one that feels more active, as Ryze can now push enemies around or away, and grows in strength while more enemies are present. It also gives the player a rune-based choice as to how they want to become stronger.
