Do you mind me asking what you didn't like?
I'm going to assume it was the song selection. To answer that, I assumed the "risk" with using a song that wasn't any form of electronic or rap before working on the compilation, and decided "Screw it, it's my first video for this new series so I'll go with a song I personally love.". I plan on making more videos, but will go with much more tame songs, lyrically and musically. I will probably cave in and go with some DnB song off of lapfox trax.
Thank you for the feedback.
Okay, so, it's not so much that your song WASN'T rap/electronica/whatever , it just doesn't really make for a good video (the fact that I actually HATE the genre you picked is purely subjective).
It's a really long video with no coherent theme. Like, it literally looked like you took random gameplay footage, cut it together in haphazard ways vaguely similar to better executed videos, and then threw the song over it just because. And the poorly done rapid-cuts made in the beginning actually gave me a headache the first time I watched it. In a LOT of places, you were pulled way far out for seemingly no reason. And the slow-mo was over used a bit too much.
Take the clip starting at 3:28. There is a long stretch in there where nothing interesting happens. Draven killing Morde might have been an interesting shot, but we could barely see it from the angle you chose. When Karma Flashed in at 4:00 and killed Soraka with the AA, that was a decent shot, some minor adjustment coulda made it better. If you had made that the focal point of the clip, it would've been okay.
Overall, besides the song not really matching the video (except in certain few spots. The lyrics matching up with the Vlad dying was an okay idea), many clips were too long or unclear or just sloppily edited. Not the worst for a first attempt, but it definitely needs work.
Verdict is a 3.5/10. It's clear you have some ideas, but you haven't displayed the skill to execute on them yet. Work on smaller pieces with a more coherent goal in mind, and I'm confident you'll improve.
