League of Legends project : Living Card game
Hi everybody!
I'm a student Game Designer and I am working on a card game inspired by league of legends. The game will be a (free) Print&Play, 1v1, 20 minutes teamfight where 5 champions fight against 5 other champions. Right now, I have almost everything ready for a first prototype, but a problem came forward :
Some cards represent champion's abilities, items and summoner spells. I was thinking of using the icon shown ingame as the art assets on each of these cards. Unfortunately, I can only find these icons in a 64x64 size, which is way to small.
Here are the solutions I could think of :
- Re-draw all icons to the right size using photoshop or Illustrator (there are above 700 of them and I am not paticularly good with this software)
- Use an In game screen shot and edit it so that it shows the relevant ability as best as possible (could be problematic with some abilities. Try taking a screen shot of
,
or Master Yi's Wuju style) - Hope that someone else has a better Idea or knows where to find High resolution versions of all of league's Icons.
