Two months have now passed since Cowl AcidBite was in Piltover. Now traveling to a small shipyard off the coast of Bildgewater in long dark cloaks with two other hooded figures.
Cowl Acidbite pacing to the shipyard with the other two in tow begins to speak,"Joey. Sue. Once we get to the shipyard you will not do anything to stand out. if you do I will have to punish you for your misbehavior." "I understand master." Joey responds quickly while Sue remains silent. "104!" Cowl says in frustration.Sue continues to stay silent. "HARDLIGHT!" Cowl yells enraged by the constant silence.Finally stopping in his tracks to turn and look her in the eyes. Finally Sue looks gets the idea that she needed to respond or else she would soon see the other side of him for another time.She didn't like that side of him as she had only seen it 5 times since her abduction, and each had ended with her being almost unable to walk and then whipped to be forced to walk. To her his anger was something she was glad she saw so little of it. "Yes...ma..ster." she says timidly. "Don't 'yes' me. when I tell you to do something you reply that you understand. Not sit in silence like a half witted ditts! You are lucky that today you play a part in this mission. If it wasn't Lady Leblanc you would not even be here. Now you will remember that the more trouble you cause me the more rougher the night will be for you." Cowl says with anger shining from his face. Slowly his anger fades as poise returns to him. "Now lets head toward into the port and meet our guide." He states as he turns to walk away. Soon they reach the port and head past many large ships as they walk along the docks. They reach an open dock and stand their waiting for sunset. Within a couple of hours the sun sets and the darkness of night takes over. Suddenly dim flames appear across the water as a small row boat appears between the flames. As it docks a figure speaks in a low voice,"Cowl AcidBite." Cowl approaches the boat with a smile on his face before speaking." Ahh.. Yorick Morry. Its been far too long its nice to see you again. I do hope you can understand that this time I bring two others." Yorick looks toward Joey and Sue before speaking."The Isles told me it would be a party of nine. Come aboard. The Isles grow restless." Cowl Stops and thinks then quickly pulls from inside his cloak."Here you six souls of the departed. I almost forgot about the fee." Yorick nodes his head then off they set. Within an hour they reached the Shadow Isles. "How can this be the Isles should be several days travel by boat?" Sue asked as if perplexed by the speed of a small boat. "Ahhh! Yes. allow me to explain. Your see the shadow Isles are very mysterious in that they are said to be alive moving from one sea to another as if it were one giant ghost." Cowl states as he looks toward the Isles. "Do you need a guide around the Isles?" Yorick asks. "NO..NO. that will be quiet all right. I have a map to guide me." Cowl says pulling the map from a pocket "no map is accurate of the isles." Yorick says looking at the piece of parchment "You are right that is why I have a map that simply points to where I want to go." Cowl says opening the map up to reveal its contents. Soon they hit shore and the passengers depart into the thick forest of the Isles.
four hours after entering the Isles.
They run into a group of people traveling through the forest with a strange figure guiding them. The guide stops and looks at the three travelers. "Cowl? How..Has...It been?" The guide asks. "hahaha! If it isn't lady Elise. How lovely a day to run into you." Cowl says with a large smile on his face. "Yes lovely indeed the Spider God thanks you for you tributes to the great one, and hopes that if you ever like to join its side you are always welcome." Elise replies back with a grin on her face. "Maybe some other time, but for now me and my assistants must head towards 'HIS' abode. I wish you safe travels to you and yours." Cowl says as he continues on his way. so to do the group of people continue on their way following the Elise to their yet unknown demise. shortly after their run in with Elise they here the sounds of a Fight taking place. They quickly rush to see what all the commotion is. There standing in an opening is Thresh and Hecarim fighting a hooded figure holding what appears to be a large branch. Thresh throws his sickle at the hooded figure as Hecarim charges forward. The figure deflects the sickle with the large branch then leaps toward Hecarim smashing the large branch down atop his head. The branch shatters into pieces as it sends the Horseman sprawling to the ground mid charge. The hooded figure then jumps up into the trees grabbing hold of a over hanging branch. He then punches near the base of the branch with such force that is cleanly snaps the branch sending the hooded figure down towards the awaiting Thresh. Thresh quickly moves to the side of the figures landing then throws his lantern toward the sprawled Hecarim. Right as the hooded figure turns onto Thresh Hecarim recovers enough to grab a hold of the lantern. The figure leaps to close the gap, but Thresh had already started to pull on the end of his chain. and now Hecarim was there standing in the way of the figure. The figure takes a glancing blow from the Horseman as he is sent backwards. Hecarim and Thresh start to rush the Figure, but suddenly a large black pillar of flames erupts from the ground impeding both parties from continuing their fight. Cowl then emerges from the flames. "NOW NOW NOW... I cant have you three starting up so much commotion on the Isles just as I'm on my way to speak with someone." Cowl says in a tone more appearing of the disguise he had now adorned. "BloodCowl?" The figure says in surprise. "Move it mortal" Thresh bellows "Move or join." Hecarim states in a threatening tone. "Well if it isn't Jax how good to see you again, and as for you two I would kindly have you know that the person I came to visit is the dread lich. I would hate for him to join in this squabble, but if you keep it up he and Yorick may just find them selves busy getting a new warden and Horseman." The now BloodCowl says with a look of temptation. "You dare threaten us!" Thresh states angrily. "NO...NO..NO! You seem to miss understood, I seek not to engage, but find a middle ground for this squabble to come to an end. Now Jax why have started a fight with these two." BloodCowl asks with a grin on his face. "The Warden has his soul, and I'm simply relieving him of it." Jax says in a more calmer tone. "Well then Thresh how about a trade you give Jax the one soul he seeks, and I give you three other souls in return. As I know you would like a better end of this deal." BloodCowl now looking at Thresh with the grin "Heheheh....you have a deal what is the soul you seek Jax?" Thresh said with a smile. "It's a little child.A sickly boy named Joe." Jax said firmly. "AHhhh....Yesss! I know of the one." thresh holds up the lantern and a soul emerges then taking the form of a small Sickly Boy. "That's the one." Jax says with a show of calmness. "then We have our selves a deal. AHh..now lets see Jax will need something to carry a soul, and it just so happens that I have such a thing." BloodCowl says pulling out a small empty jar with writing on it. Thresh quickly steps in the way, and states."Ah..ah..ahh! not before I get those three souls." "Eeehhhm..Yes as I was about to say next you do need your payment so allow me."BloodCowl says walking over to the branch Jax is holding. BloodCowl then proceeds to brake of three small twig.He then pulls out a small carving knife. Where he then proceeded to quickly whittle the twigs to a point, and then carve some weird marks on the sticks. He then clamped the sticks between his hands, and then started whispering into them.Sticks started to glow an eery blue, and when he released the sticks they shot off into the sky and headed in different directions. Soon the sticks where out of sight and then quickly returned,each with its own Soul that it had pierced. and stand right in front of thresh were three floating sticks attached with a soul. "now I think we will be on our way, each with the soul we wanted." BloodCowl says handing the three souls to thresh. BloodCowl and Jax quickly take the one soul and leave before anything else is said.
30 minutes later and couple of miles away from the encounter with thresh and Hecarim.
Jax looks at the jar with the soul in it and says."Just you wait kid. You'll be back in no time." BloodCowl looks at Jax and says."Right then I guess I will see you another time as I was in a group before I rush in to intervene." BloodCowl turns to walk away as Jax says."Thanks." Soon Cowl Acidbite is back to his other appearance and meets up with Sue and Joey. They soon find themselves at the doorstep to the Dread Lich. Cowl makes three quick taps at the door,and then waits. Soon after some loud crashing and thumping sounds the door opened up, and standing on the other side was the Lich himself Karthus. "Ahhhh...Cowl has it been that long already.which one are you? never mind you wouldn't say anyway, but come in wont you. Its nice to have a fellow enthusiast around. Ahh I see you brought the next ones." "yes well I can't deny my ladies orders. And both of these two could use some work. Thats where I thought of you." Cowl says with a smirk on his face. "Don't hide or deny that you came here with soul intent of knowing your end would near." Karthus says looking at Cowl as his smirk fades. "So you know that much? well then this will make things quicker. First I will need to get these two some aid before I depart." Cowl says regaining his smile as if by force. "Then Tell me what they need aid in, and I will see what I can do." Karthus says with a look of ponder on his face. They step into the home and Cowl begins to talk."The boy needs more control over how much magic he uses. He has a problem of drawing magic from the nether, which turns his skin a different shade and starts to grow horns. as for the girl she has yet to receive hers. She is new-ish to Magic." "hmmm..I see."he says looking about the room and then pointing at a potion on the shelves nearby ,and then he points at another potion and then he whispers a word. The potions slowly float over to Karthus."These two potions should do the trick." he said with a calm voice. "Yes thank you. hurry you two drink the potion." Cowl says handing the potions over to Sue and Joey. Joey quickly drinks the potion. While Sue slowly hesitantly drinks the potion. Soon joey and Sue start to glow a faint blue. "Now then let us see what the little girl can do?" Karthus says looking at Sue. "Sue read this and put one hand out."Cowl says handing her a piece of parchment. Sue grabs the paper and quietly reads the paper to herself sticking one of her hands out. Suddenly A small light appears from the palm of her hand and begins to float around her. "I see you gave her a spell of the light orb." Karthus says watching the orb float around her. "Its a stronger light than when I casted that spell for the first time." Cowl says with a look of pleasure on his face. "So are you ready?" Karthus said looking over to Cowl. "It does not matter if I'm ready for it is time. The other will be here soon.Lets get this over with." Cowl says as his smile slowly fades. "All right you two sit at the table over there and read these books here. Cowl and I have business to attend to." Karthus says with a smile. Cowl and Karthus start to turn and walk away when Cowl turns and says,"There will be a knock at the door later the same as what I just did. Please do answer it otherwise don't." Soon Cowl and Karthus had disappeared into the back where loud clangs and slams of doors could be heard.
Several minutes later in the depths of Karthus' abode.
"Are you ready. Here we go. To eternity you soul will be forever kept apart of my collection. Now state your name!" Karthus yells to Cowl as he Cowl stands in the middle of a large swirling magical vortex. "I am Max, Number twenty-two, and the fourteenth Cowl Acidbite!" Cowl shouts to the tops of his lungs. "Now death eternal shall take you!" Karthus says knocking the tip of his staff against the ground. soon the vortex consumes Cowl as his facial expressions come slowly and his memories displayed against the walls of the vortex. "YES! This is it! The expressions of the dieing. Such Great euphoria!" Karthus shouts with joy. soon the body of Cowl disappears and all that remains is his soul. Karthus quickly picks up the soul and puts it in a jar labeled '22/14C'. "Now he should be arriving soon." Karthus says looking back over to the circle. He then grabs a small silver ring left in the middle of the circle where Cowl was. Then Karthus swiftly heads towards the front of the house.
A couple of seconds after Karthus picks up the ring. A loud yet quick three taps come from the front door. Joey gets up to answer the door. Apon opening the door A tall hood figure stands at the doorway. "Cowl sir how did you get out there? come in." Joey says with a look of confusion on his face. "Thank you 103. continue your reading." The man says with a light smile before continuing."104 come with me there is something you are needed to do." soon Karthus emerges from the back and looks at the man and says "Do you think its time you told them?" "Very well I would have hoped they wore told of it ahead of time but it seems twenty-two kept them out of the loop." the man says to Karthus before turning to both Sue and Joey." You both need to know this. I am number thirty-eight. As you may have guessed we are expendable replacements to fill in for the first Cowl Acidbite from over hundreds of years ago. The we are a found by a member then raised to become a fill in once you are properly trained. We Cowls all differ from our magical strength and power, but we all have two things in common. First, we are all left overs from a previous mission of one of the Cowls. The second is that our loyalty and identity are known to none, but those inside the organization and few outside the organization. Karthus if you would." Karthus hands over a small silver ring."This ring changes are form into that of Cowl AcidBite. You are given one after you completed training under a Cowl. The methods we are disciplined by are used to make us love and seek our master for guidance. To instill loyalty. We all must be disciplined as decreed by the first Cowl and her Lady. While wearing the ring our actions and thoughts are sent to all the others wearing the ring." "so which Cowl are you?" Sue asks looking more confused than ever. Cowl kneels down in-front of Sue and says."We are Cowl the first, but I am the twentieth Cowl, and you are Dia. Now have this fruit it will make you more attuned to the latent talent the eleventh Cowl saw in you." She takes the fruit and slowly eats it. Then Joey approaches and asks,"So the Cowl I was with in Piltover wasn't the one that was here?" "that is a good question. You see when a Cowl takes in someone they are given a number in which they were found. You are the 103rd child to be taken in, and after you are found any Cowl may then look after those yet to become a Cowl themselves or be summoned by her lady.Now back to your question you were found by the 54th Cowl, but where with 11,14,40,and of course 54. The one in Piltover was 11. Now enough with these questions we must be on our way back home. The lady has prepared something for you two for seeing 14 off.Karthus good night and see you soon."Cowl says turning to leave with Sue and Joey in tow.
five days later in a undisclosed location in Noxus.
"My Lady I have returned." Cowl says entering the room. "ahh..yes have the other two been treated to the gift I left for them?" Leblanc says looking at the bowed Cowl. "yes My Lady. Sue is enjoying the nice cloths and gifts you got her before I see to training her for a night of fun." Cowl states calmly with out looking up. "again with that hobby of yours. I truly is a disgusting thing. What of the other one?" Leblanc asks. "He is being readied for the final part of his training before receiving the ring." Cowl explains. "Very well that is all." She says waving her arms to let him leave. Cowl Acidbite soon fades into shadows leaving a small silver ring engraved with '22/14C' on the floor.
