[Fan Fiction] Chapter 1 - The Start of the Journey

This is a fan fiction about LOL, i read a lot of lore of champions and also the journal of justice to make this story, this is just the beginning. There's a lot more to come :)

My name is Ezreal, the explorer who travels around the world in order to search, examine, and collect all the unique artifacts around Valoran .It’s been several months since I’m back to Demacia, and it always feels good to be back, especially with a new artifact that I found from a dungeon on Far East.

“You’re back.”

Garen, the might of demacia, the right hand of the king himself greeted me as I arrive in the hall.

“Yes, I found another artifact, I’m going to my chamber to examine it.” “That won’t be necessary, there are more news about Kalamanda. Prince jarvan wanted to see you in the meeting room.”

Curious, I left behind the artifact to my accomplice and rush to the meeting room with Garen.

[Meeting room – Demacian castle]

“My prince, Ezreal is back.”

Prince Jarvan seems concerned, his face looks tired and I can see a dark circle around his eyes. He’s not himself, He usually walks around proudly with a charismatic look and fresh eyes.

“Isn’t that a good news ?” I asked. “Do you want me to go there ?” “Yes, I want you to confirm the amount of the resources and investigate the Noxian army there.” “An army ?” “Apparently, Noxus sent their army there to seized all the resources and obliterate everyone in their way. Since you already know the road around there, I assume you know the shortest way to Kalamanda, am I right ?” “Sure, who will be my companions ?” “I want you to bring Garen and Ryze. Garen will protect you from an unexpected event and Ryze has a vast knowledge of the resources there.”

Ryze, that blue creature with full of magical tattoo always give me the creep. I always admire how he pursuit the knowledge of magic, but it seems that his desire what turns him into the creature of magic itself.

As excited as I am, I know that Noxus is a very ruthless and cruel place, especially since Boram Darkwill, their leader is now dead, they are now uncontrollable. I wonder who sent them to Kalamanda, is it Katarina ? The daughter of general du couteau, the missing right hand man of Boram Darkwill. Swain ? One of the strongest candidate to be the next grand general for Noxus? Nothing is clear yet, I need to get some sleep for my journey tomorrow.

The next morning, I prepare some things that I need for my journey, some potions, food and water, and the artifact that I just found, I think it might be a good idea to examine it much further when we’re resting. I went to the gate of Demacia, There I can see Garen and Ryze standing, waiting for me.

“Are you all prepared ?” “Yes.” “WAIT ! Brother, let me come with you !”

I heard a voice screaming from behind. It was Lux, Garen’s little sister who practice light magic in Demacian academy.

“What are you doing here ? I told you this is too dangerous even for you.” ![Garen](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Garen.png) Garen sounds surprised and mad.
“It might be a good idea for her to come, her expertise in light magic can be useful for us in battle.” ![Ryze](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Ryze.png) Ryze finally said his first sentence.
“Yes, yes ! I promise I will not be a burden for all of you, I’m bored. There’s not much to do in here, let me go with you brother !” ![Lux](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Lux.png) 

Lux seems determine, I can see it in her eyes that nothing can change her mind, she even come prepared.

“If you join us, can you promise me something ? I want you to stay with Ezreal in the back and don’t ever think to do anything dangerous, do you understand ?”![Garen](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Garen.png) 
“Sure ! I will stay back and protect Ezreal.”![Lux](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Lux.png) 

“Thank you, I will surely protect you too my lady.”

I said it because I didn’t want to be a burden too. Even though I’m just an explorer, I witness a lot of combat and I can still use my brain instead of my fist.

Finally, we start our journey to Kalamanda, hoping that we get there safe, no, we will be safe, since we have the right hand of Prince Jarvan himself and Ryze, the creature of magic itself. Not to mention Lux, even though she seems fun and cheerful, her magic power is strong enough to make Ryze trust her in combat.

“My Prince, are you sure about this ?” Said someone from behind. “Yes, I need you to follow them, I know Noxus, they might know that we sent someone to Kalamanda, and I’m afraid that they are prepared for it, you must not fail me !” “As you wish, my Prince.”
