What if ... would be a weapon?

Good day fellow Summoners,

did you ask yourself sometimes what if a certain Champion wouldn't be the humanoid/creature that he is and instead would be a weapon? Something similiar like the anime 'Soul Eater or other fantasy stories about changing the shape of the body into a deadly weapon.

I've tried my hands on and though I'm not really good, I still think that those weapons I drew look similiar to the Champions in League of Legends.

heh. Heh. Yea, good art.... but the designs... my swordsman inside me is screaming, trying to imagine picking one of those swords up and swinging it shudder some would but unholdable, others impossible to swing, and yet others wouldn't do much at all.

But great art!

  1. Ever played Monster Hunter? You'd know how awesome it would be to grip those big ass swords in your own hands when using the correct positions.
  2. Those swords may look big, yet there's no comparison or data on the actual size. Imagine them a little big smaller ;P

You should invent a completely new champion that is a sword. And abilities based off doing so. Imagine a new supp that turned into a sword and gave your adc buffs in close range. Or could assist lanes as a jg by giving huge power spikes!

Something similiar is already in the works by me. My idea goes a bit further.

Imagine a AD Support. Now with some AD based damage abilities, one ability to completely disappear and appear at your ally Champion and be invulnerable in that short time (1/1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8 seconds) and become "part" of that ally champion. You give that champion healing based of his damage (lifesteal/Spellvamp), give bonus AD and you can cast your abilities from there too.

However, using your idea of a sword that the ally champion should hold.. could be visual a problem, because not everyone can hold a sword. I mean, what about Jinx? She's holding a rocket launcher or minigun, thus makes it weird, y'know?

I think caitlyn's Sniper rifle is the perfect rendition of what she would be if she were a weapon, same with Vi's guantlets, Jax's lantern, and every other champion that wields a weapon. But the champions that DON'T? Well, THOSE are the interesting ones!

I imagine Xerath would be a lightning staff of uber magical powah.

Khazix could be a set of Dual Scythes!

Chogath maybe a single great scythe!

Velkox would definitely be a Laser Cannon!

And koggy would be a rocket launcher :D

I Think Alistar would be a Massive hammer

Blitz too!

It is not only about what a Champion would be that HAVE or HAVE NOT equipped weapons. Weapons have to impersonate this Champion in order to say "If he would be a weapon, he would look like this!".

You're seeing this too simplified.
