"I was only a young one when it happened"
The watchers, as we were called, were a proud race. We had immense power and sovereign over the Freljord. The humans were always inferior in power to us and we knew that. We didn't want to leave them out to die in the cold, however. We took the humans under our care in response for their service. We even bestowed some power onto them, creating those who you now know as Iceborn. How naive we were to think that these humans would be grateful of our deed.
The humans gained more and more strength as they lived among us, they began to know our secrets. We trusted them, especially the ice witch Lissandra. We shouldn't have given them so much power, it was only a matter of time before they thought themselves equals. That traitor Avarosa gathered together an army, a rebellion. The very humans that we had blessed turned against us. We gave them strength, weapons of true ice, and they betrayed us. They threw us all into the wretched Abyss, even bestowing a guardian to sound the call if we were to return. I was the only one to avoid this injustice. My father hid me away while the rebellion happened. There is no one left of my kind to guide me, to tell me what I need to do. I'm just alone now.
I wandered aimlessly around the Freljord, hiding myself from their eyes. I picked up information as I went by, learning of the land and what became of the traitorous humans. Apparently some of the Avarosans and even other denizens of Freljord gathered at something called the League of Legends. A battleground of some sort. The humans dared to use the gifts we gave them, the weapons we bestowed upon them, and call themselves innocent. If I am what remains, then I will avenge my people. Every last traitor will perish at my hands.
