This is a follow-up pirate Champion (Well.. rather a mascot) that has been announced/leaked by ARRR - A new pirate crew arrives at the fields of justice?

###Lore
"I sliice throough the weaak body aaand kiiilll for pleaasure! Humaaans aaare sooo weaak, buut nooot my friendsss!" - Turisas, the Leviathan of Bilgewater

"Death, Despair, Extinction - Turisas is everything but nothing. Like the doomsday himself he devours the bones of his foes and feasts on the flesh of his victims. Some would call him a monster - In fact, everyone does. Turisas appearance brings fear upon the weak, but he does not attack unprovoked. Even though Turisas does hail from a world beneath the surface, a world where cold-blooded creatures call their homes, he somehow acts civilized as if he knew the value of life.

Despite of Turisas being a creature from a world that Runeterra didn't fully explore yet, many fear oF unknown things - It is a mystery, a secret and the forbidden for most.
Noone could blame those who did dread Turisas when he appeared out of the blue like he raided countless havens of Valoran due to their actions. Provoked, hunted and deliberately attemped to take Turisas' life - Turisas didn't wish to kill, but others wished for it.

Turisas was known as the Leviathan of Runeterra, many fearless warriors and seafarer were on the hunt for Turisas. What was found was their dead bodies and body parts - Noone returned from the impossible quest, only one man survived - Angstrom. Surprisingly, he did not kill Turisas but became friends with him. When Angstrom returned to Bilgewater with Turisas, both lightheartedly laughed and in the same time crying out of joy while walking through the streets of Bilgewater. The residents began to rebel against Angstrom and his new fierce companion. With one mighty and awing shout of Angstrom he silenced every single marcher until only the waves of the sea was heard.

From that moment Turisas accepted his fate and joined Angstorm's pirate crew to pay the debt he owes - He now enjoys life and would fight and kill every opponent only to be able to laugh again with his friends."

###Champion Explanation

  • The name Turisas originates from a malevolent sea creature from the finnish mythology. Turisas is also said to be the god of war similiar to the scandinavian god Týr, but many doubt of it.
  • Turisas is an unknown creature - His past is not clear as he do not share any of those informations. However, since Turisas appearance in the Fields of Justice, Fizz does prematurely accuse Turisas to be guilty of the disappearance/extinction of Fizz's homeworld. Fizz does recognize Turisas to be one of the race of a rival nation of Fizz's nation. However, even though Turisas could lift those accusations by ease, he does not share any informations. Many think that Turisas left his nation or even deserted, but these are still theories.
  • Turisas has no real opinion about Bilgewater becoming a nation equal to the rest on Runeterra, but he definitely believes in his captain and his dreams.
  • Noone does exactly know how Angstrom became friends with Turisas. When Angstrom returned with Turisas, he had a big injury in his chest. Some rumors have spread around and it says that Turisas in fear and anger pierced through Angstrom's chest, but Angstrom didn't harm him. Instead, he believed in Turisas and talked to him rather than to fight with him - that is why many think that Angstrom won a fight without fighting.
  • Turisas' sword-like claws (Picture above) can be stretched and extended - Futhermore, it can be detached and it will immediately regenerate and grow again. It's one of the special abilities that his race is known for under the sea.
  • Turisas is best played on mid lane due to his assassin-like kit which is most effective against mages.

The river/trail grants to allies +25/+35/+45/+55/+65 movement speed as long as they walk on the river and slows enemy movement by -15/-24/-33/-42/-51. When toggled off: Basic attacks deal additional magic damage equal to 15% of Turisas AP or AD, whichever is higher. In addition, after each 2 consecutive basic attacks, his next basic attack will heal him for 25/35/45/55/65 (+15% AP)(+1 for each 10 missing health). |||65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 | 15.5 / 14.5 / 13.5 / 12.5 / 11.5

| Ability | Name | Effect | Type | Range | Cost | Cooldown |------------------------------------------------ | Ultimate | Grave of the Depths | Upon Activation: Turisas immediately disappears into the ground and digs through the earth/water, he can freely move and becomes untargetable for 3.5 seconds. Upon Recast or after 3.5 seconds, Turisas immediately dashes out of the ground with a epic wave of water, it deals in a 400 range radius to all enemy units 250/350/450(+50% AP) magic damage. Earlier recast will deal lesser damage. Side Note: Turisas can still receive an movement speed bonus through river or Pirate's tears) but the ability itself is toggled off while Ultimate is active. |AoE |400|100 / 125 / 150|110 / 90 / 70

###Concept Explanation

Simple put - Turisas is something special and at the same time something old. His Q dashes upon basic attack rather than like Fizz or Yasuo who dash through lock-on on a target. His W is similiar to Nocturne's trail, but allows both allies and enemies to receive movement speed or movement slow.

Turisas' passive is essential for his role - He can use his Toggle or the river to escape ganks or chases. On the other hand, he can use the river to get faster to other lanes and help to achieve objections like first blood, shutdown or to destroy an tower.
His Q can help him to escape or deal an moderate amount of damage. If E is active, his next basic attack range is increased to 500 - If you combine that with his Q, you can actually dash right to your target rather than dash through it. This allows a tricky mechanic.
The W allows to support his team in different goals and can help him to compensate his lack of burst - In combination with his Ultimate or his Q, he can outsmart his foes and get an advantage. One thing has to be cleared out - In the first ranks the W trail is about 150 range big, but when Turisas walks while the ability is toggled on, the trail won't be big enough to walk simultaneously on it - on higher ranks when the range is also higher, Turisas will be able to walk on it while he creates it. For the lower rank, it stays as an ability to stop enemy chasers or support the own team - it can also be used to offer a escape route once Turisas wants to back off from a risky situation.
E is somewhat his main ability as he receives bonus range for one basic attack and his further attacks become faster and can sustain him. Obviously strong, but perfect for someone like an Leviathan.
Apropros Leviathan - Ultimate: Turisas' Ultimate can be devastating when he uses his trail of water or when used on the river. When he's digging through the ground, he can't be fast enough to capture his enemies with a full-damage Ultimate as they can escape easily - But if combined well and your trail of water has been set for a trap (Or you use the river) you can actually chase your target fast and eventually get him, depending on your opponents skill and ability availability.

Over all Turisas is strong against Champions who are rather based on nukes, skillshots and have lack of CC like Fizz, Le Blanc, AP Ezreal. Weak against AD fighters and Assassins like Zed, Riven, Skarner. Turisas can only escape when he has enough mana or can't be chased - Nocturne as example could catch up on Turisas or any other Champion with long range slow/CC (Maokai - Skarner - Vi).

###Possible Skin Chocobo from Final Fantasy (This is for RiotBaconhawk !!!)
The feathery and very bacony (if grilled perfectly) skin has something special to offer - On level one the little chocobo-meatling is young and with less feathers - When he levels up, he becomes at level 18 the most terrible chicken you've seen.. or atleast the biggest that you've ever dreamed of to eat.
In addition, whenever the chicken raises his right or left wing (depending on the camera view), you can see under his wings a symbol "Riot Games" beneath one wing and beneath the other "Property of RiotBaconhawk"

I somehow feel stupid.. Did I do something wrong?

I wanted to make Turisas a fierce creature that has been misunderstood, but he is still capable of having feelings.
