[Contest Champion] Luka, the Slumbering Guardian
Thoughts Truthfully I had no idea what I was going to do for this competition for a while. I went through a number of concepts - hyper range cannoneer with terrible attack speed/A staunch sailor who dared sail to the shadow isles/A spell blade who specialised in manipulating and recreating his blade - but none of them really had the mileage I wanted. Then through some inspiration from my gf and an (un)fortunate nickname of mine I came up with this sloth champion concept. The general idea is a Health and AP based fighter who lets others do the work for him and specialises in sitting in lane and setting up favourable engages but he could probably also feature in the jungle despite his low move and attack speed…
Lore
Deep in the jungle there exists a sanctuary for all creatures of the jungle. Not even Nidalee or Rengar may enter for it is under the protection of the Great Tree and it’s guardian Luka. Luka is a relatively young Kumungan sloth who has recently taken up the position of guardian but for a sloth so young he shows exceptional wisdom. Through the Great Tree he has been able to receive information about the world outside of the jungle and even Summoner’s Rift. He was, however, content to spend his days sleeping and guarding the Great Tree.
This peace lasted for a time until the yordles of Bandle city, planning to create trade routes with the other regions of Valoran, decided they would pass through the jungle. Luka was became aware of this complication and with his powers as guardian sent anyone who dared enter the jungle into a deep sleep. The animals would then carry the intruders out. For a time this tactic worked but it fell apart when the Noxians, part of this trade agreement, began to uproot the jungle itself in order to cut a path through the jungle. At a loss as to how he could remedy this situation Luka recalled the influence that the league had and the presence of other from Kumungu within it. Hoping he could appeal them and others to fight for him and for the jungle Luka volunteered to join the League to save his people and the Great Tree.

Abilities
Passive - True sloth
Auras, regeneration and self-healing effects are 10% more effective, this doubles while motionless. Gains 5% bonus health from items at the cost of 1% Base Movement speed reduction for every 20% of your missing health.
Q - Grand Yawn : 70/80/90/100/110 Mana : 7 second Cooldown : 1000 Range
Luka let’s out a massive yawn causing all enemies within range to yawn, revealing themselves for 3 seconds. Additionally enemies caught within 600 range of Luka take damage and are slowed based on their proximity from 60/70/80/90/100 (+40% AP)(1% Max Health) to 120/140/160/180/200 (+100% AP)(5% Max Health) magic damage and 5% (+1% AP) to 25% (+10% AP) slow for 3 seconds
W - Living Fur : 50/60/70/80/90 Mana : 16/15/14/13/12 second Cooldown : Self - targeted
Passive: The moss on Luka’s fur reacts to protect the guardian of the jungle. Upon taking damage from any source the moss enhances Luka’s abilities granting 5/8/11/14/17% Movement Speed and (+1/2/3/4/5% Max Health) Health Regen for 3 seconds. Further damage refreshes the duration.
Active: Heeding Luka’s call his fur hardens to protect himself and his allies. Luka gains a shield equal to 80/110/140/180/210 (+20% AP)(+5% Max Health) for 6 seconds. Coming into contact with any ally grants them half of the current value of the shield. Shields passed on in this manner cost you half of the original cost.
E - Cling : 90 Mana : 20 second Cooldown : 200 Range
Luka hitches a ride on the back of an allied champion for 3/4/5/6/7 seconds granting them 30/40/50/60/70% of Luka’s armor and magic resist and current Health Regen and living fur passive. This can be cancelled by interrupts, movement and recasting the ability. Luka cannot cast abilities or use summoners or items whilst clinging. While clinging Luka is treated as immobile for the purposes of his passive.
R - Great Tree : 100 Mana : 120/110/100 second Cooldown : 700 Range
The Great Tree answers Luka’s call transporting part of itself to summoner’s rift. Enemies within the 500 range of the tree are sapped of strength and are exhausted for 2/3/4 seconds while allies within the AOE are invigorated gaining 20/30/40% Movement Speed, half of that value as bonus attack speed and Luka’s current Health Regen. Enemies outside cannot see into the shade of the tree. The tree itself lasts for 4 seconds.
Explanation
Q - Has some utility but also provides a risk/reward choice for the player. If you manage to sneak up on the enemy or use the synergy with your E and a mobile ally this ability can provide a really great set-up damaging and slowing multiple opponents.
W - Helps Luka sit in lane and provides synergy with his ult and E. Having the ability to shield your entire team at great cost is again about player choice, it also fits in with the sloth theme leaving Luka ‘exhausted’ if she wants to make a big impact.
E - Again about fitting in with the identity, she’s a protector but she’s lazy. This has multiple uses: helping allies stay in line by topping them up after chilling for a while, providing a gap closer for Luka through an ally or even helping Luka and an ally escape - Thresh express for two ;)
R - A symbol from his lore and a key piece of his kit. Luka’s damage isn’t direct but rather through his allies. This ability provides a real window of opportunity to initiate a fight or even turn one around.

sadism (maybe "Hibernate" or "Rest" cant move, rapid health regen bonus armour and magic resist)Because being a tanky support or top or jungle the cling E feels to "clingy" (no pun intended) to a support role and becomes useless while in a solo top lane. And being a top laner my self would see this champ as a kind of braum deal (a heavily armoured support that cant really do any other role) so the variation of the Cling is mainly directed for a support role. I also think that "Hibernate" would be a great because it seems that this is a champ very orientated with health regen and making him work like that would help him become a more often played tank than a mediocre support combine the only two items you'll need a

it feels like it needs to be stronger like maybe the same thing as his E but stronger. Luka latches on to an enemy or ally for enemy he does kindof like a
ult and serpreses them and dealing damage and for an ally he replaces their health bar with his and get bonus armour and magic resist so he can tank for them so he still has the ability to be a support or jungle but can also lock down kills in the top lane. Also his or her (i don't know) Q is extremely supportive as well. I think it should stun them (like they are tired) for supporting and also securing kills in a top lane environment and have it be his poke damage as well or instead of him being ap he should be an ad Tank and be a real nasty late game and a beast in team fights. But i think you should ad this to the Q's the enemies yawn back but not grant vision I wanted to edit him because it felt like he was to much of a support and it felt like just like the braum deal, very single role oriented and not alot of surprises. I'm sorry for being so critical i just think that luka was to much of a support and needed variety. You probably noticed that i didn't mention the W. Thats because i think it is an amazing ability that is perfect for a late game, teamfight beast, tank, support. Please know these are just my ideas dont take it like i think Luka is bad at the moment. I think it is really good but just needs a little "fresh air"
