[Ultimate/Legendary Skin Idea] Violinist Fiora

I've tried to search first in the forums and then tried with google, but didn't found anything like this. I apologize if someone's already suggested that.

As a foreword, I was thinking of a Champion that could be a Violinist, but then thought out that this Champion would use her violin bow as a sword. But we already have a one-sword duelist, so I was thinking that Fiora is in need of an Ultimate skin or Legendary. This is my idea.

Violinist Fiora

Fiora wears with her left hand a Violin, which she holds on her chin all the time. Her sword is a Violin Bow.

The Violin is black

Her Violin Bow has a sharp blade on one side, and with the other side she plays the Violin. (The Violin Bow could also be made like a Tachi which has a saber-like blade.) http://www.armamentarium.de/images/product_images/popup_images/1569_0_W40201013.jpg

Fiora plays on the Violin whenever she stays, dances and taunts. Her Ultimate, Blade Waltz, plays a deep and dramatic short-track.

We have a heavy metal band in league PENTAKILL Olaf Karthus Mordekaiser Yorick Sona . So we should have a classic Orchestra. Fiora On Violin. Garen On Cello( Replace his sword)Yasuo on flute...he already plays it.Lux on Viola. And DrMundo as the percussionist...Sona is out of place in PENTAKILL so DrMundo is out of place here...

Gangplank Will be the Conductor and notes will fall down in his ulti.

Darius Will be the Bass.

Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been trying to think of the best way to answer this.

First off, I am not an artist at Riot and I don't really work with those teams closely in terms of the the ol' job description - so I don't have much influence. I am constantly pitching my own ideas, for instance, and I tell everyone about the community ideas I see here that I love, but I've yet to see anything materialize in game in the two years I've been here.

That said, ANYTHING IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE. Within the limits of science and imagination, I mean. I want to point out that I don't think its ever a good idea to create based solely for the reward of realization in game. I don't even think that that is the most valid reward....

I know that I look forward everyday to seeing what new things have been born of the passion and creativity you guys posses! And I know that I am not alone in that feeling. Your idea might spark something in a Rioter or another member of the community that manifests innovations you never conceived of. That's what I love about ideas and creativity - its kinda like a virus that feeds off itself and each other. You might make something totally new that starts here. I think that's worth alot more than a new skin for Teemo. And I lovvvvvve Teemo skins! ( I do, and I'm not sorry). What about the awesome interaction that results from these posts too? That's sometimes the best part of my day, and I make a point of jam-packing my day with awesome till they burst at the seams.

Please keep creating. If I came to Fan Creations one day and saw no new posts, I can't tell you how that would destroy me.

Good job finding an artist that can produce some sketch work like that. Having an image really helps get a feel for the skin concept.

True, thanks for the kind words. The artist is making a portfolio and he'd probably do another picture, but I told him to think over if it's not interesting enough. So this picture seems to be the only thing now, but that's not a problem. It's still awesome

Understandable, I imagine it can be pretty time consuming to create artwork like that, and I guess we don't really know what else they have going on or whether or not they typically charge commission for work like that. Either way though it looks good.

This is a cool skin idea! They should have 2 other champions with similar things, like an orchestra kind of thing. Violas, cellos and maybe a bass player! Don't know who would play these but this is a grand idea!

The first ones I can think of is Ryze with String Bass and maybe Galio for Viola? He's classy enough. XD

As a fiddle (the instrument in this instance, but also the champ) player myself, I so freaking dig this. Love the images you linked you linked - maybe her music would be something like this.

(Sorry for the shameless plug of my cousins' strings metal band, but seriously you should all be following Judgement Day and Foxtails Brigade on the music front)

Lawl. Honestly, that video is just brilliant. No sweat about posting it, I'm a huge metalmaniac myself (Probably the most craziest at all) and this just made me smile bright as if I would see a Steven Hawkin parody. xD

If you like that kind of symphonic metal, try out Trophallaxy (or how they are call themselves now Dysrider). But be warned, this masterpiece of symphonic metal will have a different theme later in the song.

Im just not quite sure how this would fix. And honestly I think it would look weird. Have you ever tried to walk around holding a violin to your chin? Cause that is a feat all by itself. Never mind fighting while doing that.

Personally I believe her best skin is headmistress which is a harrowing skin. I do think she needs a good 975/1350 skin but i just dont think this would be the way to go. Not to mention her combat style is supposed to be fencing... You try holding a violin to your face while fencing.

See "Lindsey Stirling" how she runs, walks and jumps with a Violin under her chin.

What is the difference between Violin Fiora and classic Fiora? Classic Fiora holds her left hand behind her, to fence with the right hand. While in Violin Fiora, she holds her left hand up high to press it under her chin and fence with the right.

Classic Fiora keeps her left hand behind her because that's an actual fencing stance, using the off-hand as a counter-weight. It's kinda weird but a friend of mine took fencing for a few years and showed me the basics - it really does make a difference. Holding her left hand up in front of her face would be incredibly awkward and a really bad combat stance.

Would it be possible to have her hold it but only raise it to her chin for her dance/taunt/joke?

I know how fencing works, I just said what the differences between Classic and Violin would be, to show that there is no real reason to not use her left hand for that stance.

And even if it would be not under her chin, where should she hold the violin then? Behind her back? Would be a bit "disappointing" for a Legendary/Ultimate skin, don't you think?

That is not bad actually especially with the ultimate. Playing the tune would make Fiora have a unique skin like Udyr and Ezreal along with other pricy champions.

I think this would actually be a pretty good skin for Fiora. (I don't have a good feel for her personality since I don't play her, but based on art, I wouldn't imagine something like a Violin out of place with her.) Her Ultimate could possibly play a few dramatic violin chords (either original or from a funeral song, which would be very appropriate considering how much damage her Ultimate can really do against the enemy team.)

I think she'd look better with black hair myself, but it might seem too close to her original skin and Headmaster Fiora skin.

Overall, I'm glad this skin has gotten a Red, I really hope Riot considers this as a new skin, because even if Fiora has a decent amount of skins, this is too good an idea to be left unused in some way.

Honestly, if you would wear the boots and the dress, you wouldn't look that awesome like Violinist Fiora. You also need the pair of gloves, then you would look fantastic! :P I guess

This is a great idea and I like the idea of other champions rounding out the orchestra. I like the idea of making Nidalee a vocalist and Gragas the drummer. I also like the idea of Taric playing the keyboard. I was thinking maybe Ahri playing another string instrument, despite her Popstar Ahri skin. Another possibility for a drummer is Kassadin as the graphics for his e could be manipulated Kassadin to make it appear as he is slamming his drum against the ground to create a shockwave. However, he does not have to replace Gragas, Kassadin could merely be a second drummer in the band.

In order to be even a Legendary skin, she'd need to get some voice over lines and a bunch of new particle effects or something. Just the outfit would shouldn't really be more than a 975 skin since it'd feel really bad to pay more than that and not get anything cool besides the outfit.

Fiora's kit is...rather empty in terms of particles. Lunge just moves her forward, Riposte has a weird mist-shield briefly, Burst of Speed has a faint circle beneath her, and Blade Waltz is...kinda invisible for the most part.

Any ideas for particles to really flesh out the concept?

I've heard that Riot internally wants to change Fiora's kit. Maybe she gets new abilities with new particles, but that's really way back in the future.

Of her current state, it's hard to do any particles. Particles aren't always needed for a new legendary or ultimate skin. New VO and music played when she uses her abilities, could be fair enough. I mean it's a skin, noone is forced to pay if he doesn't like it.
