I am Badministrator AMA

My inspiration was a love of Urgot and a long commute home from work. No one shows Urgot any love so I thought I'd do a song. I had never rapped before but it seemed like the easiest format to knock out a quick parody for my main crab. People liked it so I kept going.

I don't know anyone IRL, they are all way too far away and my job makes it so I can't go to events (I am a programmer/analyst for some nuclear power stations). I do play with pretty much everyone I've collabed with on occasion but like most anyone else who is late teens low 20s they generally all have a group of friends big enough they don't need more people. I am 31 and my friends are all busy with offspring and adultish stuff instead of gaming. So yes, the answer is yes.

Yes! This is prime info I'm about to give out. I am currently working on a rap song that is like a love note from Garen to Katerina. I am also doing a jungling song with Cody and Collective from PlayerPOV. My part is going to be Zac, I don't know exactly what they are doing yet.

That is true. I basically didn't listen to any at all before I made my first song except what I might have heard occasionally on the radio. As for my style of rapping I think it is just what comes naturally to me as a person who enjoys music. I play the guitar and the drums so rhythm is not an issue. My first few songs were parody style and I basically ripped off the feel of the original song. While not exactly the same like the word replace parodies you see from someone like Instalok or Plentakill the flows I was using weren't exactly original either. Over time my style grew naturally out of the songs I was creating and at a certain point I began to feel confined by the feel of parodies more than helped by the established flow within them. So I basically stopped doing parodies and my natural rhythm took over from there.

Lately I've been more focused on having good rhymes in addition to having good lyrics which aren't necessarily the same thing. While league fans and fans of lyrics were enjoying my songs I wouldn't say that fans of rap in general wouldn't have found them too enjoyable up until my last 10 or so because of a lack of multis and more complex rhymes.

All in all it's just a natural progression as I gain experience. As people expect more from me I put in more effort and my past experiences allow me to sound more polished. Where I might have spent two hours writing a whole song before I now sometimes spend two hours writing four lines. This is basically the reason I don't get songs out as often as I used to. I am trying to avoid the comment "this song is not as good as your other songs", it's the worst thing to see as a content creator.

Do you really get up at 5am during playoffs? Damn.

If we're talking rap then it's my Udyr song. I just hate it. There are basically only two lines in the whole song that don't make me cringe. I can't even listen to it.

My Olaf rock song is just poorly made. I had no idea how to mix rock music at the time so it came out really awful. I would redo it except no one really liked the idea or the song I was parodying in the first place.

If the idea calls for it I think it could be done. In general I like to keep it positive. The only reason I did that song with a negative spin is because it's a champion raging instead of a person/player. Generally I would prefer to pretend the game environment is an autonomous world instead of just a game people are playing because I feel like the songs turn out more interesting and immersive that way.

Lux and Leona are my two favorites but most recently I've been playing Zyra and Brand the most. I just like the ranged burstiness and I mostly prefer champs with skillshots.

You can use audacity for a free program, just download a karaoke instrumental of a rap song and go to it. I'm white, doesn't mean anything. You feel awkward because you're bad at rapping because you've never done it before. Like anything else rapping takes practice. Contrary to what many people think it is not just talking over a beat.

I am trying really hard to get away from using instrumentals from commercial rap songs because of the associated issues with copyright infringement and other legal considerations. Unfortunately at this time it's really unlikely I'll be able to do something with that beat. Really nice beat though, it's pretty simple too so a remake isn't out of the question.

I can't really justify playing an entire new song for a champion when there are so many I've done nothing for. The only way I can see her getting mentioned in another song anytime soon is if I do the other Freljord factions.

I currently have plans to do a song with PlayerPOV. Plentakill hasn't asked me lately so I can't comment on them. I want to get something going with Lily Pichu or Natsumii but it's just hard for me to write parts for them.

That was actually Kolo9 and Chickencombo from Plentakill's duo. The whole song was about their dominion experiences I just wrote the lyrics and rapped it. The song is totally fabricated though, they are not very good at LoL but they have a good time playing.
