[Champion Concept] Akemi (The Matron of Seals)

So I actually went back and edited this little invention. To my surprise, I enjoyed making the changes. (Thanks to HitYouInTheFace for the suggestions).

A few notes as listed:

  • Now uses Mana instead of Energy.
  • Producing sacred Flames is now a part of her passive.
  • Has a more cohesive kit (Ultimate, Passive and other abilities now work better together).
  • *Banish is still spammable, but is constricted by mana. *
  • *Banish's barrier still acts like impassable terrain. *
  • Has more of a support feel.

Just a little something I did when I was bored. Nothing is finalized or anything, so please rip away—I don’t mind. One thing I realized is conciseness is key, so if I ever miraculously return to this, it would be clearer, cleaner and easier to grasp. But, for now, I just wanted to throw this out there.

Her energy mana costs, cooldowns, builds, lore, etc. are basically non-existent (though there are a few things). I have the skill concepts below. Below that are bullet point lists of further skill descriptions and their intent.

The idea behind her was to imagine a sort of “domain” champion: someone who functions in an environment they produce or influence, without necessarily excelling in the area just because they’re within it. Her area she sets up is her field of play, and both her and her opponent(s) can compete with her placement and strategy in mind. This’d be slightly similar to playing with an Orianna, or even bit closer with Zyra.

However, her style would be akin to a rhythmic, assassin-esque support mage. She’d be constantly crossing the fringes of the fray, throwing and setting Talismans for her future knock-aways and protection when aiding allies, or chaining dashes during an ult delay to pursue or thwart enemies, with attacks in-between to mitigate her costs and maximize her damage and augment an ally's. She can return Lux to her that favorite snare, or spell shield that Taric stun that’s calmly on its way.

It started with the Scroll that steals CC. Then it became what it is now, I guess.
And remember, it's pretty rough. I don't even know if I like it anymore.

Appearance: Short Kimono, Scrolls carried upon the back, Gold Trim.

*Information: *Akemi is imagined as an Ionian purifier and banisher of demons and dark entities. She is neither associated with the likes of Shen or Akali, who hail the twilight, nor arts of the shadows—as corrupt practitioners such as Zed relish in its darkness—but of the ancient ways of the pure: the light.

Resource: Mana
Attack Range: Moderately short (maybe 450-500)

**Akemi **(the Matron of Seals)

**Sacred Flame ** (Passive)
Akemi’s skills produce Talismans that remain on the field, which can be activated by right-clicking. Activating them conjures a lustrous Flame that combines with others close by and burns for several seconds, briefly granting vision to an area when ignited.

After consuming a Flame, Akemi’s next basic attack marks an enemy, revealing them for 2 seconds and causing attacks against the target to deal bonus magic damage.

**Bladed Talisman – [Q] **
Throw an enchanted dagger that leaves behind a Talisman at a target location, dealing magic damage to enemies struck along its path.

**Relent/ Banish – [W] **
**Relent: **Akemi throws a Talisman beneath her with a blinding flash, blinding nearby enemies for 2 seconds and concealing nearby allies for 1 second.
*Akemi can cast Banish anytime while Relent is on cooldown. *

**Banish: **Dash to a Flame, consuming it to deal magic damage, knock away all nearby enemies and ward off an area for 3 seconds. Banish becomes more effective the stronger the Flame consumed. Each subsequent Banish within the next 7 seconds will cost additional mana (capping up to 5 times).

Twin Flame: Doubles the damage, range, and knock distance, and shields allies within the warded area. Enemies within the area walking toward the center are slowed.

Triple Flame: Triples the damage, range, and knock distance and protects an area with an impassable barrier. The barrier bears its own health and absorbs damage from sources outside its range. Allies that exit the barrier or are nearby when it expires receive a remainder of its health as a shield.

Purifying Scroll – [E]
Unravel a sacred scroll towards a target ally, leaving behind a Talisman that removes all slows, silences, snares or stuns from the target, and granting them a spell shield for 1 second. Any of these disables initially removed or blocked by the shield have 75% of their value stored.

Purifying Scroll’s next cast unleashes its power towards a target Flame, consuming it to simultaneously inflict any effects stored upon nearby enemies. (Up to 1.5 seconds)

Seal of Expulsion – [R]
Akemi unleashes a triangular grand seal upon a target enemy champion, slowing the target briefly and surrounding them with a unique set of 3 Talismans at the seal’s points. Activating all 3 fires an expelling force, dealing magic damage in an area around the target and pushing aside all nearby enemies.

Akemi can recast Seal of Expulsion to consume the new unique Flame, suspending the target into the air after a brief delay, stunning, and making them untargetable by enemy champions for 2 seconds.

And that's it. Still really rough, but at least it's posted. Let me know if there are any big inaccuracies, discrepancies or pieces of misinformation.

Thanks guys.

Edit: Revised.

Interesting concept. I skimmed over it, so correct me if I missed something:

She sounds like she would be a support champion due to her cc and shielding/wall abilities - I would change her passive completely to a more "support" type of passive and I would not have it restore energy. Supports are typically designed with mana so that they are limited in their use of cc and sustain - they are forced to think critically about when, where, and how to use their abilities. A support without mana would be considered OP (possibly), so I would not, once again, give her any moves that help restore her energy quicker than the natural rate.

The flames sound interesting. I would maybe make more than 1 move create the flames (this might mean increasing the Q's cooldown though, to balanced out). You could let her ult lay a flame down with it. This would work (bad example, but stay with me) similar to Trynd's passive/ult synchronization - when he ults, his passive is boosted. Same concept. Or perhaps the flames could even be her main passive that stacks up, similar to Kennen's stun/MF's run/etc.
