Shadow Isles: Origins
I was recently thinking about my next upcoming Champion "Alicia" and how her twisted personality is unique. Sure, a person who's crazy and yet a mother is something that could work, but..
The Shadow Isles is a very mysterious place. Yet in the League of Legends universe, it is THE place from where abnormal creatures coming from - no matter if a headless rider, a spider queen, or a chain warden who's soul is even after his death restless.
Now I was thinking - what if Shadow Isles does not originate out of nothing, but rather has a relation to something similiar? What is the most used word for the beings of Shadow Isles? Terror.
And the Void? Terror.
No no, just keep reading - I'm not saying that both creatures are similiar, but..
What if the Void was not just a place where monsters and creatures are waiting to break out, but rather are beings like you and me - who live a life in the Void, while others like to feast on those in Runeterra. While it's true, it might be like I say - there is still no guarantee.
If we keep this theory - when Voidborns die, what does happen? Their souls disperse, part of their horrific and terroristic personality could manifest on a place that we call Shadow Isles. Those souls seek for creatures, animals, humans - to give them undead life and powers, to fullfill their dreams.
While this might be a terrible theory, I just thought of one of my earlier Champion Concepts. While we know there are voidborns who seek to destroy/feast in order to observe - what if there are voidborns who are actually not aggressive, but wise and already knowledged? What if those elders die? When its soul then seeks not for a devilish or evil dreams, but seeks for a person who fights to protect and who's wish are pure as his heart?
What if we had a Champion that originally has no powers, but his wish was to be strong enough to protect people? A new Support who could've some ghost-theme powers or void-related powers?
