New LoL Role Idea

I had an idea the other day for a new role in League. It would be kind of a drastic change and have several balance implications (what modes would it be available in, when can it be used etc.) but I think it could add an interesting element to the game.

In eSports LoL there is often a "shot caller." What if in special ranked playlists, there was a position devoted specifically to shot calling. A 6th member of the team would be designated as the shot caller and instead of controlling a character, they would control a real time map and user interface in order to supervise the movements of their team and observe the last known locations of the enemy in order to make coordinated decisions for their team.

Do you think this could work?
