[Champion Concept] Rayjin - The Toxic Convict

The thread A new toxic Champion.. literally showed me that people would like to see the concept coming alive. I hope everyone enjoys it (To prevent confusion, the name of the Summoner is "Gormin" but renamed himself after he became a Champion)

##Lore "The time is nigh for the stage fellow brothers and sisters; Enjoy ME! SUCKERS!" - Rayjin, the Toxic Convict

"Perhaps imbecile and infantile but Gormin had his heart in the right place, though not for long. Gormin was born in a demacian military family who disciplined him for every failure he made. He never made through the demacian doctrine neither as an warrior or magician, but as a eventual Summoner, though it never satisfied his family.

Gormin became after years of studying and practicing finally a Summoner, but not for long.
Eventually he began to overcome matches that were linked between Demacia and Noxus with negative attitude, most of them close to be called verbal abuses against Summoners who controlled Noxian Champions. Ultimately there were many cases of verbal abuses and offensive language even against his own fellow Summoner Teammates no matter if Noxus or any other country.

The Institute of War officially declared Gormin to be punished with suspension, but after the suspension ended the cases of insults and toxic behavior kept growing to over hundred cases. Somehow Gormin's tribunal cases were leaked to the public and in the papers across Runeterra. Bizarrely Gormin gathered a great amount of supporters who assisted him on his unhealthy attitude.

The Institute of War punished Gormin with silence, more suspension and eventually a permanent exclusion from summoning. The Institute of War was then assaulted in public and paper for the cruel punishment as many thought that League of Legends was nothing than a mere colosseum of filthy and uncouth warriors gathered together to fight till death.

The Institute of War listened to the wish, but couldn't allow a toxic Summoner to fight for important conflicts between countries. Instead to be a bad example for future Summoners, the Institute of War sentenced former Summoner named Gormin to imprison him as an Champion called Rayjin in the Fields of Justice where all of his unhealthy methods are being used for a better cause."

###Appearance Despite of his former body, Rayjin's personality has manifested to his physical body - A GOD - The god of thunder to be precisely.

Rayjin looks similiar to this: He's a great warrior who fights with a double-bladed greatsword.

Rayjin is also an occassional smoker, but in-game he will smoke cigars. Similiar to "Smoker" from the anime One Piece.

###Champion Explanation

  • The name Rayjin has two meanings. First: "Raijin" is the japanese god of lightning and thunder. He is typically depicted as a demon-looking spirit beating drums to create thunder. Second: In the Warcraft universe, the race "Troll" does have (similiar to the japanese cultur) for different roles a different ending of the name. jin = suffix, means “leader” and refers to the tribal chief or elder Zul
  • Rayjin or also called Gormin was a toxic Summoner who verbally abused and trolled everyone he encountered. His popularity amongst the civilians of Valoran was with no doubt high, and yet as the Institute of War tried to break his toxicity - There was no chance to permantly ban him without risking a riot.
  • Rayjin believes to be a god or godlike creature who's actions and decisions are true and ultimate. However, what others do are not as true, thus his toxic behavior started with that thinking. Nonetheless of his complex, he actually.. is the thunder god. Somehow his mind manifested and created the body he now took over. Some say his toxic level was over 9000 and that's why he transformed.
  • It's a rumor, but the Institute of War's reputation has been drastically decreased when Rayjin was suspended permantly. Because of the riots, the Institute of War decided to punish him differently - to imprison him in the fields of justice and let him fight and perhaps change him.
  • Rayjin's E ability "Suck it Up!" is a bit complicated to explain. You know a double paddle? The double-blades are similiar used as if Rayjin's rowing above water on a boat. It spins extremely fast, almost like Draven's Ultimate axe-spin. While spinning vertically, it wrecks the ground itself. Looks epic.. in my mind.

###Concept Explanation & Personal Opinion

I know what you want to say, but let me tell you first.

Rayjin is an Mage Tank who actually is not solely based on a distinct level of tankyness. Instead, his Passive gives him GREAT tankyness, but it will only be applied when he engages rather than when he flees. The problematic of tanky mages are that they can burst without to expect much of resistance as they are tanky enough even with FULL AP itemization. However, a stun or evading his abilities will make him vulnerable.
Rayjin's Q gives him the ability to disable the target(s) and to engage. The high AP.Ratio already decides that it is the main ability.
The W's Passive is just awesome, but works again only if Rayjin engages. In laning phase, he can poke the enemy target despite of his Q. Other than that, all of Rayjin's abilities are more or less based on multiple-targets. This means that if you want to stack up his innate passive, you first need to hit the enemy group. In a 1v1 fight, you'll have to stack your basic attacks combined with abilities to reach the 6 stacks.
E is probably overpowered, but there are reasons for the strong ability. First: Your rotating blades can only hit the target when they are directly hit on the edge. Champions with smaller hitboxes like Syndra, Teemo or any other Yordle is able to stand in front of Rayjin without getting scrated (it's still a parallel vertical rotation). However, Rayjin risks pretty much by engaging as an tank mage, thus justifies. Other than that, stuns can stop the effect.. and it's anyway just 4 seconds.
The Ultimate R will blow your mind. This ability just makes damage in an instant. If you're good enough, you can predict if the enemy Rayjin uses his Ultimate on you. If so, dodge (it's just 350 range big, just a little bigger than Riven's E dash).

Over all Rayjin is very strong against squishy melee targets as such like Diana, Fizz, Kassadin(Partially, Kassadin can still burst with Q from safety, but can be caught easily pre-6 with Rayjin's Q-E(W) combo.).
Rayjin is weak against strong bruisers who get more damage in time but keeps their tankyness. Assassins can pretty much mess with Rayjin, there are just a small bunch who can actually burst him down, but most of them he can counter. (Example: Le Blanc Q + W + E - Rayjin can't do anything while silenced ... Zed R + Q - Rayjin stuns with Q and keeps a distance and fights back or escapes).

###Quotes Rayjin curses pretty heavily. Instead to say the whole word, they will be censored by a PEEP.

Upon Champion Selection: "*** Welcome to... ahh just pick me, this pisses me off everytime***"

Walking:
"I know I am supposed to do this, but why?"
"I am god.. I walk freel- STOP IT SUMMONER!"

"What do you mean, I need boots? I'll get your ass after this match"
"Give me a fu- PEEP break, summoner"

"Love is for losers, love is for suckers" (Reference to the band "Twisted Sisters - Love is for suckers")

Joke:
"How many Noxians do you need to to kill me - Atleast five.. you already lost!"

Special Conditions:
When buying boots "They look pretty.. Summoner, buy me five more of it!" (Reference to the well known trolls who bought 5 boots before it was then limited (Elise needs 6))
When landing with Ultimate "SHAZA- cough .. fu- PEEEP this, I'm too old for this sh- PEEP " (Reference to the Super Hero "Shazam" and the sentence "I'm too old for this.." from Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon.)

There is a message from Rayjin to the people who continuously press "Maybe with tweakments" but don't give feedback on what should be changed.

Here's the message from Rayjin: "FU- PEEEP YOU" xD

What happened to "All of the above..wtf"?

Anyway, I like how you went with a lighting idea instead of making him a generic toxic summoner, and instead shifted that into his name and personality (haha).

Nice one.

I honestly don't think that his abilities and playstyle match his lore and personality. But his tankiness definitely suits him.

P.S. Draven has a new competitor.
