I'd be really interested in a champ like that!

Yorick, Karthus and Mordekaiser are all champions that were brought back to life just like Hecarim and Thresh. In fact, ive seen on the wiki pages that Thresh is friends with Hecarim and Mord, and most of the other "spectral" champs are actually friends with each other or at least know each other.

I think you are also forgetting about this lady
I have a Champion Concept that could work, if people find it appealing, I'll posting it.
Tocharian, the Shadow Rider. Originally, he's a elder man who was deadly ill, but a machine/instrument from Shadow Isles, who lost his true rider, were on the search for a equally powerful rider. All riders who previously tried to control the machine, died because their powers were just the powers of mortal man. But the deadly ill elder had the blood of the Watchers, so his potential was there, but never unlocked. His face is a skull, burning spectral energy comes out of his throat and he only knows to appreciate and enjoy the death of others.
Health cost based.
Passive "In the Dark":
Tocharian possesses the power of a Greatsword that is bound on a chain that he can use for ranged attacks or melee attacks. Whenever Tocharian casts a ability, he switches from melee to ranged, allowing him to attack targets from 550 range for 2.5 seconds. This will be refreshed with each consecutive basic attack.
In addition, after every 3th basic attack, the 4th basic attack will heal Tocharian for 30%/40%/50% of the damage done or the next basic ability will have additional effects.
Q (Skillshot - Slow - Hook) "Eat Metal":
Tocharian throws his Greatsword 600 units forward and is bound with a chain to the enemy hit by for 2.5 seconds. Within those 4 seconds, he slows the enemy's movement speed for about 25%/30%/35%/40%/45% and in addition can recast to pull himself with the chains to the target.
Initial damage with Greatsword: 50/65/75/85/100 (+ 50% bonus AD) physical damage and snares the target upon impact when recast for 1.5 seconds. He can freely move while bound to the target. Heavy CC (Stun, Knockback, knock up) will break up the ability.
If used after the 3th basic attack:
Tocharian throws his Greatsword, which then will split in the middle of the path to three pieces, each bound to the chains. It hits up to 3 enemy units, slows them for the same amount and in addition, Tocharian can recast to pull all three targets to the point where the Greatsword fell off in pieces, and snares them for 1.5 seconds.
W (Untargetable Status - AoE Damage) "Nightswarm":
Passive: When Tocharian's abilities hits more than two units or more at once, he receives a buff that reduces all incoming damage by 5%/8%/10%/13%/15% for 3.5 seconds. This can't occur more than one time within 10 seconds.
Tocharian turns into a swarm of bats for 2.5 seconds, can't be targeted but can be hit by AoE's. The swarm of bats deals 10/25/35/45/60 (+20% AD) magical damage every .5 seconds.
In this state, Tocharian is unable to execute other abilities, items or summoner spells. But can recast to break up the ability.
If used after the 3th basic attack
Tocharian heals himself for the same amount what he deals with "Nightswarm".
E (Skillshot - Stun) "Hot Wheels":
Tocharian sends forth a burning wheel forward stunning the first enemy for 1.5 seconds hit by, it deals no initial damage, but gives the enemy hit by a mark for 3.5 seconds that will be consumed by the next basic attack of Tocharian. The next basic attack deals additional 20%/40%/60%/80%/100% bonus damage.
If the ultimate is used while the burning wheel rolls, Tocharian immediately appears at the burning wheel with his ultimate active.
If used after the 3th basic attack:
Tocharian sends forth a bigger burning wheel, that stuns the first enemy hit by and all others 400 range nearby for 1.5 seconds. All enemies are marked for 3.5 seconds and can be consumed by the next basic attack by Tocharian.
R (Transformation - Modification) "Highway to Terror":
Tocharian summons his other half, the Instrument, from the ground raising, sitting on it and drives it. Tocharian receives an 35%/45%/55% increased movement speed for 7 seconds that decays after 3.5 seconds. In addition, he also gains +20/+30/+40 Armorpenetration and Tocharian receives a +25%/30%/35% attackspeed bonus.
If Tocharian uses E while ultimate is active, he breaks up the skill, sends his machine instead and deals AoE dama

I like this and have often thought they needed a four horsemen of the apocalypse set.
