World Of Legends?

TL;DR: WoL (world of legends) can be a MMORPG based off of the current lore system

So League of Legends doesn't have a "Story Mode". Nothing even close... the closest thing we have is a very mysterious Lore system that tells you a story about champions and what there role is in Runeterra. But what if this all changed. Introducing World of Legends. A MMORPG based off the characters and lore from league of legends. I think this is a really cool concept idea. You could pick your nation (noxus, demacia, ionia, etc.) Your race (yordle, voidborn, human, etc.) and other options in order to play a champion that you like. You could live out the events of your champion's life and have an influence over what they become in the end. After you beat the game and complete all of the lore quests that the champion has to do, you can play it like a mmo and gain permanent gear and items to help your champion in the open world map, similar to runescape.

I feel like a game like this could and would do extremely well, potentially better than league of legends if riot games decided to take on this MONTEROUS project. It would be very monsterous too. Riot would have to hire way more developers just to make the game, then pay all the expenses to get the game out there, which would honestly not be much because they can just post it on the client and login screen and get 60 million players to see it. So while I understand that a game like this from riot games would take most likely upwards of 5 years to create and no income from the game would be coming during that time, I think they would definitely profit from it in the long run.

I think a game like this would be a great next step in continuing riot games' success in the future. I mean, just look at blizzard and how big they have become as a company. All 5 of their games top the charts in player base and a 6th game is soon too come (Hearthstone, Diablo, WoW, Heroes of the Storm, and Starcraft 2, as well as the soon to come Overwatch). I think Blizzard figured it out, and now its Riots turn in the spotlight. With League of Legends already being the most played game in the WORLD... EVER. I think that another F2P Mega hit from Riot would be an amazing step into the future.

And maybe if Riot isn't willing to take on the daunting task, it could become a community project where developers from all over could band together to make this dream a reality, then potentially selling the rights of the game to Riot so that they could publicize the game and make it what it deserves to be.

This is just a thought, but I hope it can become a reality.

There hasn't been a successful MMORPG in 7 years or so... Why would anyone try making one now?

Point is, Riot was lucky with the timing of league and they should make their other game thats in development completely seperate from what league is, and should be completely unrelated.

Is it a good idea? Yes. I think people (especially those into the lore) would like an MMO in the realm of League of legends. But i dont think its possible at least for right now. An MMO takes a lot of time. especially if they want to make it as big like WoW. What that would mean is that they need to stop everything in LoL, and work around this MMO. If not then they need to hire new people which may or may not benefit the company in terms of ideas and the likes.

Again its a great idea, but just would be too much for the people at Riot, unless they get a whole bunch of staff, and a butt load of money.
