[Champion Concept - Traditional Old Wizard] Gunford, the Old and the Young Wizard of Regalia
Lore: Is it Fate or Misfortune? Maybe one of them, perhaps all of it.
Long time ago, as magic was amongst many unknown and technology had its first footsteps, there was a young boy, his name was Gunford. Neither hungry for power nor corrupted by egoism, for more, the love he found was the only obsession. Nothing more he wanted, was to protect her and live with her for the rest of both lifes.
And so he did his best for many years, until he realized in high age, that the bliss will be soon over, because Death awaits for the foolish and the old ones. Not foolish enough to rebel against the Death, Gunford decided to find a way to extend their lifes, maybe even eternal life, to surpass Death and be together forevermore.
After a long journey through Runeterra, Gunford found a mysterious tribe in Shurima Desert. Hidden beneath sand, no ordinary man had entered those halls, Gunford found a mystic temple. The Residents welcomed him, but even beyond the smiles and faces, hatred and hipocrisy was behind all of their actions. Unknown reasons why they acted evilish, maybe because they were tricked by outsiders like Gunford before, or maybe because of a nature source. Gunford, old and wilting, had read the symbols within the temple. The Residents told him that the language to read it, was lost and forgotten. Fortunately, Gunford had spent most times reading books and folklore, so he was able to read it.
After a mystical ceremony, Gunford received the power to eternal life. His diseases were gone, and he was young again. As he returned back to his wife, she was dead. The last years, the last months, the last weeks, the last days and the last hours. Time, spent to search for a medicine for the Death, but then it was useless, regret overcame him.
Because of the loneliness and self hatred, Gunford tried to kill himself several times, but everytime he came back alive. Followed by his death screams, only reincarnation was left. Many centuries passed by, only to be a old man again. Gunford then killed a thief who tried to steal his wallet, where the picture of his wife was left. As he killed him, the lifeforce of the thief was drained out and went into Gunford's body. He became young again. Albeit it is because of the new powers, or because he finally realized that his past life had come to an end, Gunford only knew the feeling of other's pain. And this feeling was the only thing he wanted from that point on.
Appearance: Gunford begins in his old form. His resource takes the life of nearby units (no matter if enemy or ally) and fills it. The more he has, the younger he gets. I've made a picture about Gunford
His staff is a wooden staff, which is in the older form overgrown with leaves, but turns completely blank and dark when in younger form. When he's old, he holds his staff with both hands, to walk with it. When he's young, he holds the staff above the ground with one hand.
Abilities:
Passive - Library of Eternal: The younger Gunford gets, the more wisdom he can recall to himself. The death of nearby enemy units and ally units will increase Gunford's Wisdom about 5%/10%/15% (1/8/14 level) each and will be depleted after Death. Each 20% Wisdom allows Gunford to receive an additional stack from "Snow White Warden" and "Pale Dragon".
Q - Pale Dragon: Gunford sends forth a image of a white pale dragon within 500 range. The dragon strives to the selected target as a missile projectile and deals 60/70/80/95/110 (+30% Ability Power) on impact. If the ability was CC, the next ability cast by Gunford will have the same CC. However, Gunford may recast to deal the absorbed damage/CC for free, or cast another ability with the additional effects. Trivia:
He is a Rival of
. He is sure that he met Zilean once. Once he entered the League, he talked with Zilean and Zilean refused to have any relation to him. Later he remembered that he asked Zilean long time ago, to turn back the time before Gunford's wife died. Zilean refused and then turned back the time so that Gunford lost every memory of Zilean, but he still can remember this one time they met. Zilean and Gunford may have been best friends or rivals, noone knows it yet.
