(Concept) Oakind, The Chameledrone
Okay so the lore is a bit long for some, but would enjoy feedback on it. Excuse the crappy hand drawn picture.
Oakind, the wooden dreamer
Lore: It started with a blade. A single sided sword swinging at a mass of darkness through the cowling forest of the Twisted Treeline. The gluttonous blade, fed with the anger of an unstoppable demon and the swirling life of a living nightmare, cut through a single branch in its conquest, knocking a viridian acorn to the ground. The sword-wielding warrior took a leap, kicking the acorn into the soil where so many souls lay.
It continued with a lonely child. The small acorn had grown into a ferocious tree, its leafs thick enough to hide a frightened child. Amumu spent days on end crying in the colossal tree, sometimes speaking to it. He felt safe in its embrace; its thicket of leafs keeping him warm where loneliness left him cold. One day in particular, Amumu was haunted by a nightmare. It clawed at him, a regenerating mass of rising cloth protecting him. Amumu reached the tree but slipped as he tried to climb to safety. The nightmare flew closer at the speed of light, when suddenly: The tree split open and a massive root shot from its broken hull, striking the nightmare down. Next it wrapped around Amumu, slinging him away to safety. The nightmare started ripping the tree apart, splinters decorating the battlefield. Amumu took one last look and ran away. He escaped but the tree was left in pieces.
It ended with a craftsman. The pieces of the tree were discovered by a lonesome traveller, the way it constantly shifting enticed him. He formed the pieces into that of a puppet, it’s head split and put in its hands as the nightmare had clawed right down the middle of any discernable piece of oak. The puppet boy however, lived. He set out, back to his original birthplace, to look for the friend he had always loved. And finally, ending the existence of the violent nightmare.
Rundown: Oakind is an AP champion with an affinity for the elements. Depending on where he is (The river, the lane or in the bushed) he can adapt to his surroundings and alter his moveset. He is a medium range attacker, with an autoattack using the strings attached to his arms. His ranged abilities all shoot from the hole in his neck, with the exception of his ultimate. His moveset starts in “lane” mode.
Abilities: Passive: Memories of the earth If Oakind is in range of where an enemy unit was in the last 1/1.5/2.5/3 seconds, a memory appears of them in that location, but only if Oakind had seen said unit in the last 20 seconds.
Q: Earth Shot/Bulletleaf/Waterllery Earthshot/lane: A medium ranged projectile that does AOE to the first enemy it hits. It’s move distance is slow. Bulletleaf/bush: Oaking shoots three short ranged leafs in quick succession, damaging all it passes through. Low damage for each leaf. Waterllery/river: A long range, medium damage artillery shot with a small AOE. It has a very small slow but has a longer cooldown.
W- ADAPT: Oakind changes his elemental attribute to whatever the current terrain around him is.
E- Terraclone/Digging Seed/Surf Terraclone/lane: Oakind chooses a short distance to teleport to. He leaves behind a static clone of himself that lasts for 2 seconds and which is instantly destroyed when attacked or touched. Digging Seed/bush: Oaking moves slowly to a medium distance location, entangling any units that touch his path. It can pass over walls etc. Surf/river: A low cooldown ability in which Oakind quickly surfs a medium distance away. It’s cost is average/low, however it can only be used on water. (hidden ability: It can be used to harmlessly pass through Tidal wave, or can be used to ride an allied Tidal wave.)
R: Oakind attaches the two parts of his head. He becomes immobile but 77 small, very low damage energy balls shoot in a “bullet hell” style in a 360 degree around him. It’s range is similar to that of Amumu’s. If these balls reach allies before it reaches enemies, they gain a healing effect.
Oakind triggers a secondary objective if fighting against Nocturne. The winner gains either a luscious tree or an eternal black bonfire (depending on noct or oakind as winner) next to their respective item shops.
