@Riot Start a Fan Fiction Contest!
Halloween is coming up quickly, and I'm sure everyone is sufficiently spooked right now! I certainly was, so it was no surprise to me that coming on the website I found that Riot had started a new Community Creations Contest (I like the ring of that). However, my glee quickly turned to sorrow when I saw that it was a pumpkin-carving contest. Now, I have nothing against pumpkins or their carving; in fact I think that this idea is brilliant and quite fitting for the season. But it got me thinking...
To my knowledge, all of the Community Contests (at least in the last several months) have been for artwork or some type of crafting. Once again, I'm not saying I have anything against these things (gilding Crafting Skillcapes for 1mil gp), but they're not the only forms of art, are they? Not at all friends! I'm sure there are many like me out there, who can't draw a stick figure to save their lives or would end up gouging their own eyes out with needles if they even tried to knit. But I can write, and I can write good. Which leads me to my point--
A FANFICTION CONTEST! 
Please hold your applause until the very end, thank you. I won't offer extremely specific ideas now, but I'll give just a general overview of what I expect the contest would look like. Riot would create a theme or specific topic for discussion, The Harrowing for instance, and let players write about it. There would obviously be some constraints: a minimum/maximum length of story, whether the story must use only canonized lore or if it can speculate, what characters should be involved, etc. I've seen plenty of fanfics this community has created, and I know that for all the great pictures (be they SFW or not) there is an equally strong writing community. I would love to see Riot encourage this with the same incentives offered to the drawing community!
PS- I almost forgot! The music community deserves just as much love too! Perhaps a contest of that type could be in the works too?
