Roland - The Guardian Knight

Tank/Support/Fighter

This is a champion concept I made completely by myself. Roland is a Tank/Support and I figured Riot is in need of a new Tank or Support, so why not both? He can also do either, one or the other. I have everything from Base Stats all the way to an Item Build. If this Champion is liked enough by everyone, Riot might hopefully use the concept or even create this Champion.

I do give Riot Game Studios Full Permission to use this Champion Concept in anyway they please.

Base Stats

Health: 440 (+87 per level)

Health Regen: 7 (+0.7 per level)

Mana: 240 (+42 per level)

Mana Regen: 7 (+0.4 per level)

Attack Damage: 55 (+3 per level)

Attack Speed: 0.625 (+2.7% per level)

Armor: 18 (+3 per level)

Magic Resist: 30 (+1.25 per level)

Movement Speed: 335

Range: Melee 150 units

Abilities

Skill - Angelic Aura: (Passive) When hit by an Enemy Champion’s Basic Attack, Him and Nearby Ally Champions up to 500 Units away slightly glimmer light. He also gains 7% Maximum Health Regeneration and Nearby Ally Champions gain 5% Maximum Health Regeneration for 10 Seconds. Regeneration Refreshes on Every Hit but Does Not Stack.

Q Ability - Righteous Punishment: (Active) Select a Nearby Enemy a Short Distance or up to 300 Units away from Him, he then flies up into the air and towards the Enemy with his war hammer raised slamming it onto the Selected Enemy with a clash of light. Causing AOE Damage, Dealing 50, 75, 100, 125, 150 Magic Damage (+100% AD) (+30% AP) and Stunning for 1.5 Seconds, also Damaging Nearby Enemies with the AOE for 70% of the Damage Done to the Original Target and Slowing Nearby Enemies 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40% for 3 Seconds. 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 Mana Cost and 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 Second Cooldown.

W Ability - Divine Protection: (Active) Surrounds a Selected Ally Champion up to 500 Units away or Himself with a holy light Barrier of 10%, 12.5%, 15%, 17.5%, 20% of Your Maximum Health (+70% AP) for 5 Seconds, also Removing any Slows or Stuns and Boosting Movement Speed by 10%, 12.5%, 15%, 17.5%, 20% for 5 Seconds as well when Activated. 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 Mana Cost and 18, 17, 16, 15, 14 Second Cooldown.

E Ability - Holy Hammer: (Toggle) Surrounds his war hammer with a holy light, Increasing His Attack Damage by 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and Heals *You 7 Health per hit. 10 Mana Cost per hit.

R/Ultimate Ability - Heaven’s Embrace: (Passive) Dead Ally Champions are Revealed to Him on the Game Camera and Minimap with a Gold Highlight. (Active) Select a Dead Nearby Ally Champion up to 300 Units away from him, Reviving them with a beam of light and 30%, 40%, 50% of their Maximum Health but Costs 300, 400, 500 of His Health. The Health Regeneration of the *Skill: Angelic Aura is Halved while This Ability is on Cooldown. 210 Second Cooldown.

Lore

“Help the weak, Protect the strong.”

In a world far away where an ancient war still rages, Roland was a great hero - the same strength and immortal race of Kayle. He fought many battles cladded in his full body armor and wielding his giant holy warhammer alongside Kayle long ago, vanquishing evil with her. They first met after an intense battle when he was just a knight and severely injured, close to death’s door. With all of the remaining mana she had left, Kayle miraculously healed him. Forever grateful for this deed, he vowed to devote his life to her and always follow her into battle no matter how intense. He helped her on her quest to bring justice to the land and in exchange he became her apprentice learning from her, eventually becoming her equal.

He admired everything about Kayle and was even in love with her, but hid his feelings because he didn’t want to ruin their friendship. He followed in her footsteps on the battlefield after she left to enter the League of Legends to stop her corrupt sister Morgana. He led his Army to many victories, helping the weak and wounded as Kayle would have done. Still emotionally devastated by the loss of her company, he eventually decided to leave and join the League of Legends in hopes to fight alongside Kayle once again. He must protect her, even if it costs him his life.

Just imagine it with Roland's Stats and Abilities.

Interesting to be sure. Overall, I like the idea.

Passive: good. It is strong, but does not appear too strong. It give a definite advantage. Am I correct in understanding, based on what you wrote, that abilities do not trigger this? How close does the ally need to be in order to receive the buff?

Q: I would not have a scaling AD ratio here. Along with that are you interested in total AD or bonus AD? How far away can the target be?

W: I personally think a seven second barrier is too long, especially if it removes slows and stuns. I would reduce it to 3 or 5

E: very straightforward, though you may want to increase the mana per hit a little (10-15?)

R: unique, to be honest. I think the passive should only be on when the skill is off cool down, to serve as a visual reminder. I do not think you have to hinder yourself so much given the long cool down. I can see it maybe costing some health, but the armor/magic resist debuff is not needed.

You have a good start here. Fine tune it a little and you should have a fun champ.
