[Champion Concept] Mona & Kor'this - Daughter and Monster
If you are more interested in the background, you might want to read first the (pretty long) prologue of Mona & Kor'this - the Lore becomes then more sense.
##Lore: "Immortality leads to great power, a power that I will share with the one I love" - Kor'this
"Born in the night of a new cycle, a baby was found leftover in the desert, blood and clothes were laying around, but no single corpse was found. A old man and leader of his group of nomads took care of the baby and named it Mona, as the name means "alone".
After several years, Mona was grown up to a little and sweet girl. Mona and her adoptive father were always on the road all alone, they left their group to walk through Valoran and its secrets. Mona was happy of travelling, she liked it very much, because she had nomad blood in herself.
Mona loved her father, because she saw how he took care of her and how he always was holding his weapon night and day, to be prepared if something would have happen to Mona. Even though she hadnt knew that she's an orphan, she felt a deep bound with her adoptive father.
Many years later, Mona was grown up to a beautiful lady and even without royal blood or a kingdom under her feets, she was acting like a fine and noble person. Her father wasnt paying much attention to how Mona was acting at that moment, as his mind was already corrupted and consumed long ago by the voidborn that was sealed in the halberd that her father found laying next to the baby, when she was abandoned in the desert.
Even though her father's mind wasnt there and the voidborn Kor'this was acting with him, Mona wasnt entirely alone. Kor'this somehow did love Mona as if she were his own daughter. No matter how often he refused those thoughts, he wanted to protect and raise Mona with everything he got. Till one day Mona's father died due to his decay and all she did was to cry while lying next to him. Kor'this couldn't resist any longer but to talk to her and to tell her the truth. He knew that after all he did to her, he wouldn't longer be able to stay at her side. As an apology before Kor'this would leave Mona's side, he offered his skills to train her to make her able to protect herself.
She took him, the halberd and trained with it. With the help of Kor'this in it, she had learned extremely fast how to wield, to fight, to swing and to kill with it.
The more time they have trained, Mona realized that the years she lived with the person next to her, was not the one who died next to her, but the one who still lives and cares for her. She accepted Kor'this as her father and for the purpose to find the strongest opponent in Runeterra to consum it and to help her father, Mona joined the Institute of War.
The voidborn became corrupted by humanity and was now a pariah from the void itself. The strongest voidborn, who ruled the void once and had mighty powers, was now father of a mortal daughter."
##Appearance: Mona is a average sized 19 year old girl. Her hair is long and dark purple. She wears a long red skirt and has a tight red blouse. She also wears heeled shoes.
I've made some pictures about Mona in her normal form and her ultimate voidling form. I apologize for the lack of skill.

##Champion Explanation
- Mona is the first human being in Runeterra who managed to create a symbiosis between human and voidborn. Even more fascinating, Mona is able to receive the void power and transform into a voidborn being, without the traumatical and life-changing experience.
- Mona, though a nomad girl, acts as if she's a princess. Kor'this on the other hand, ironically sounds like a typical father who tries to give Mona advices and tries to get her to respect him - instead, she's more of a rebelling type who takes every chance to ignore him.
- As the lore indicates, Kor'this is sealed within the Halberd. He did this (as in the prologue written) because his life was in danger and it was the only way to keep him alive, to find the strongest opponent on Runeterra to consum it and gain enough powers to return to the Void.
- The title "Daughter and Monster" indicates two different meanings - like for example: Mona is the daughter and monster .. or Mona is the daughter and Kor'this the monster.
- Calling Mona a monster beside of her deadly void form, is because of her art of fighting. In her fighting pattern, you can see her somehow enjoying to slice the enemy's body. She delicately moves with every move of the halberd, as if she's one with the weapon. When the weapn strikes, her body-flow seem to follow. For some is this a sign of some sorta enjoyment. This enjoyment seems to be increased when she transformed to a voidborn.
- It is said that Kor'this was the ruler of the Void - When he left the Void, he left a empty space on the throne to claim. When the voidborns fought for the throne, they almost destroyed the Void. As a compromise, everyone had their own territory and called themselves Lords for claiming country. However, one of the Lords has been revealed/hinted in the Champion Concept of Neverious, the Judge of the Void - He is hinted as the person behind the eye of Neverious (lorewise).
- As in the lore stated, Kor'this told Mona the "truth" - but he never told her that it was him who killed her family when she was a baby.
- Even though Kor'this is sealed within the Halberd, he is able to talk. Whenever he talks, the halberd glows red (a bit humoristic if you think of K.I.T. from Knight Rider..)

##Abilities:
Mona & Kor'this use a special resource called fury to perform their skills.
*SK = Skillshot
BA = Basic Attack
ATR = Attack Timer Reset
LO = Lock-On
MC = Mouse Cursor
AU = Aura
P = Passive
AoE = Area of Effect
DoT = Damage over Time
D = Dash
T = Teleport
M = Movement Speed *
| Ability | Name | Effect | Type | Range | Fury Cost | Cooldown |- | Innate Passive | Void's Embrace | Each basic attack gives Mona & Kor'this 15 fury. This resource is capped by 100 and after 3 seconds out of battle, loses 20 fury every seconds. In addition, if Mona & Kor'this gets hit by a ability that deals higher damage than 20% of their maximum health, they gain a shield equal to 30% (+5% for each current 25 fury) of the damage done for 3.5 seconds. If the shield breaks, it will heal Mona & Kor'this for the amount of damage absorbed previously. This passive has a cooldown of 45/30/15 seconds.
| Ability | Name | Effect | Type | Range | Fury Cost | Cooldown |- | Q | Accelerator | Mona stores a charge of Accelerator every few seconds and can store up to 2 charges. The first charge has no fury cost, but the use of another charge while only one charge is left, will need fury to activate. Upon activation, Mona immediately dashes 475 range forwards while the halberd is grinding right in front of her on the ground. If Mona collides with a enemy Champion, Mona immediately snares the target for 0.5/1/1.5 seconds (rank 1/3/5) while executing a basic attack and the fury costs are refunded. Recharge Time: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 |D + MC |475| 60 Fury |
| Ability | Name | Effect | Type | Range | Fury Cost | Cooldown |- | W | Grunge | Every 3th basic attack deals bonus +30/+34/+38/+42/+46/+50/+54/+58/+62/+66/+70/+74/+78/+82/+86/+90/+94/+98 (scales on champion level) (+10%/+15%/+20%/+25%/+30% Total AD) physical damage and Mona receives 30 fury instead of 15 fury. |P + BA|| No Cost |
| Ability | Name | Effect | Type | Range | Fury Cost | Cooldown |- | E | Slice of Life | Mona stores a charge of Slice of Life every few seconds and can store up to 2 charges. The first charge has no fury cost, but the use of another charge while only one charge is left, will need fury to activate. Upon activation, Mona immediately sweeps her halberd clocktime wise around her, she slices all enemies nearby 370 range, deals 65/74/83/92/101 (+35% Bonus AD) physical damage and slows all enemies by 30%/37%/44%/51%/58% for 1 seconds (The slow can't accumulate, but refreshes the duration). This can be also cast while Accelerator is active. Recharge Time: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 |AoE|370| 40 Fury |
| Ability | Name | Effect | Type | Range | Fury Cost | Cooldown |- | Ultimate | Voidkin | Voidkin can be activated only if 100 fury is available, but it won't deplete 100 fury. Upon Activation Mona immediately disappears to then appear in a location 650 range nearby. Upon arrival, the ground is shattered and her transformation into a beautiful void creature is completed. The transformation's duration is 6/7/8 seconds (+1 for each ability use) and while active, she receives +15/+25/+35 Armor Penetration and each consecutive basic attack increases her Attack Speed by 7%/9%/11% up to max 35%/45%/55% for 1.7 seconds. ||| | 90 / 80 / 70
##Concept Explanation & Personal Opinion
Mona is a very strong ADCarry that is able to be a offtank while still going for damage items. Her Q, Acceleration, is a very short (475 range) dash that is slightly bigger than Lucian's E dash - it's still very effective as Mona is able to use two dashes ( = 950) but she needs fury to use the second dash. It is very hard to actually hit a target with her Q because its hitbox isn't very big. Her passive is wonderful against AP nukers, she can get easily a shield just for the opportunity to engage.
However, Mona's resource is fury, which makes her abilities work without much effort. In fact, when Mona has 100 Fury and tries to first engage with her Q two times, she loses 60 Fury because of the second dash. If she fails to hit she can't use her Ultimate to follow up because her Ultimate requires 100 Fury. Funny thing, if Mona starts with the Ultimate and fails both of her Q's, she'll be a easy prey. So Mona is pretty difficult and can award the player for playing well, but can also make you fall if you mess things up.
Over all Mona is strong against certain Champions like ability based AD or AP Champions like for example: Kassadin, Le Blanc, Riven(even though Riven will be hard, because her Ultimate deals the most ability damage - but before the shield is built up, Mona dies), Veigar(even though a good veigar player would instaburst her before her shield is built up..) ecetera.
Mona can be shutdown by tanks and Champions that are focused on constant damage rather than burst damage (example: Malphite, Shen, Skarner, ecetera).
##Quotes: Selecting on Champion Selection: "Father and I shall serve you!"
Ingame - Walking:
Mona says "Those boots are not made for walking"
Kor'this says "I wish I had legs"
Mona says "I wish there would be more shops around"
Kor'this says "The more I get carried, the more I enjoy it"
Ingame - Attacking:
Kor'this says "Ouch, not in my face"
Mona says "Take it like a man, dad"
Kor'this says "As I was old as thou, I was.. ouch!"
Mona says "Hya!"
Ingame - Joke:
Mona says "Hey Dad, could you turn into a deadly beast and do the job for me? I'm feeling a bit sleepy"
Kor'this says "I bet I am the only father in this world with such problems"
Mona says "Why are they staring at us? NEVER SEEN A DAUGHTER TALKING WITH HER DAD!?"
Kor'this says "May I bit thou to less hurt me in my face and more punch them instead?"
Ingame - Taunt:
Mona says "Come and taste my father's metal!"
Kor'this says "Do you have to be so angry my treasure?"
Mona says "Aww, I bet that hurts"
Kor'this says "Do thou imagine that she's a girl and thou got punched by a girl? Ha ha!"
Ingame - Dance
Mona slams the halberd into the ground and then starts to dance the maypole dance as seen in the video
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=maypole+dance
Ingame - Death
Upon Death, Mona falls at the ground and the halberd, Kor'this, stays right next to her. Kor'this says then "Mona?... MONA?... MONAAAAAA!????" (This is a reference to Metal Gear Solid and the well-known scream after Snake dies)
##Animations: While walking, Mona always holds the halberd behind her back, while holding with both hands at the grip. If she reaches high movement speed, she'll clutch the pole with her right arm while slightly hovering above the ground.
While attacking, she uses her whole body to attack.
First attack, she spins clockwise around, damaging with her halberd on the target.
Second attack, she spins clockwise around while she squats down.
Third attack, she strikes from above with her halberd at the target.
Upon critical strike, she stabs the halberd fast in the enemy body.
While Ultimate is active and she's transformed, she'll be one with the Halberd and will strike furious and beastly with every inch of her body.
