GreenLore32 votesThe chinese one looks too soft in my opinion,it looks like she is a gentle nice girl,when Fiora is actually rather snobby and disciplined. Also the chinese one has roughly half of her hair coloured pink,not just a streak.
Though I think the current splash art could need some changes.
missinggrave5 votesAt least it's an improvement, in my opinion. If they just made the pink a streak and gave a bit of a more arrogant expression (( the softness is nice, but it should feel as if someone is mocking you or disappointed )) I feel as though I could live with this edit.

Anyway they already did some minor changes to the splash and might still do some more.
Sortitio5 votesI feel that the Chinese version gives Fiora a more realistic look. Her strong eyes and her subtle smile, it seems perfectly arrogant, confident, and elegant while making her look intelligent, which shows she has the discipline and a strong self-awareness to not outright look cocky and literally snobby, like some moronic cartoon villain.
The new Riot version looks way too much like a caricature of a struck-up French grandma with a lot of Botox injections. It almost seems racist or at least way too stereotypical IMO.

Are you cereal? What about this altered splash said "gentle and nice?" The new face does not suit her at all, and the original splash art proves this. We need to tell Riot what can be improved NOW, before they go and implement it into the game. The community certainly does not want another Katarina face fail.
Now, about the expression...yes, it is soft. I'll admit it. But that is easily fixed, correct? Just change the expression to be more of a smug grin than a warm smile, and it turns into more Fiora.

I think the new splash is ok. More memorable and not bland. Besides, not every female character have to look like some chinese mmo reject.
fugertech1 votesHave you all forgotten about Katarina's new face? It looks like she smoked six packs of cigarettes every day for a year. They made the new Fiora splash look like a human body with a silicon face...and not a pretty one.
And I don't know where this "anime" thing is coming from. The rework looks nothing like an anime girl, and it didn't before. If you're going to sexualize girls looking too "girly", then do the same for men. Because if we're being honest, a lot of the guys have hulking muscles, tall figures, and chiseled faces.

That fits her so much better than Riot's, which comes off as "I'm snooty, and french, and look like Cruella Deville."

Literally all he did was finish drawing the top of her head (because people in real life have heads flat like a table, right?), lower her eyebrows so they're actually where eyebrows are supposed to be, and push her chin closer to her face.

A lot of people identify anime for the eyes, but WB and Disney and many other artists and companies were both using huge expressive geometric eyes before anyone in Asia even took up animation. Anime is a lot more identified by the understatement of the nose, mouth, and how it all terminates in to a small sharp chin.

She looks too nice and gentle in it, and Fiora isn't nice. She's cocky and arrogant and stubborn and should look like she's thinking "you lost before the match even started". Her expression should be a bit stoic and haughty, almost condescending, like she doesn't even consider you anywhere near her level.
While I think her current face is a bit off with how angular and pointed it looks (could definitely use a bit of rounding and softening, but not much), her expression is on the money and is something that shouldn't at all change.

Doesn't have any of Fiora's personality at all, though I feel Riot went over the top with the new splash (either changing the hair or face to be less angular might help IMO. right now its too much and looks bizarre). The chinese edit is nice, but she just looks like a generic anime character. No arrogant smirk, bold eyebrows, and the eyes are smiling instead of looking down on INSOLENT PEASANTS, who is that person in the edit and where is Fiora?

The original one I personally think looked too snobby, while this one makes her look somewhat kind and innocent. I still think it looks better than the original though; the original just went one step too far is all.
