Story of League of Legends player- Xacred
Hello everybody. This is my first ever discussion on any gaming forum ( Board ) and I have decided to do it here in this Beta mode of new Forum to give my support to Riot. Ever since I was introduced to League of Legends, I just wasn't able to stop playing it. There is actually a whole history behind this story so let me tell you about it. I have moved to USA on 12 December 2012 from small country called Bosnia and Herzegovina, located on the South of Europe in region called Balkan (It has nothing to do with Russia) . I have moved to Arizona, Phoenix, to give myself a fresh start. I found a job, started going to school and everything was going good for me. My love for games is beyond everything else. I have played games starting from Crash Bandicoot, Legend of Zelda to Counter Strike, Call of Duty, GTA and now League of Legends. I have started playing League in August of 2013, and ever since I have improved as a player and as a person. Game thought me about value of friendship, teamwork and suffering a defeat. Every day since, I have worked hard to improve in this game, to get to that Diamond or maybe even beyond that. I am now 21y/o and when I came to USA I have moved in with my sister and her husband. They have been living here in Arizona for past 18 years so they decided to give me a start and to support me in reaching my goals. Here comes the funny part. My future in gaming industry or anything connected with gaming is not good enough for them, remember the part where they were supporting me in reaching my goal, and they are not allowing me to play video games in their house. Since that is the case after all the arguments that we had, I brought our communication to the minimum and they didn't liked that so they made bunch of rules that one have to follow... No Video Games, no internet after 10:30 pm, no this, no that. My job right now is really nice but it is not paying anywhere near the amount that I need in order to live on my own. I also have to pay rent to my sister that is $300 a month which i don't have a problem with, but the problem is in restricting me for reaching that dream that I came for. I found this really cool place near my college that is open 24 hours and has good equipment for gaming. It is called Howie's game shack. I go there two times a week after my school and play League of Legends. I also play LoL when ever I am alone at home, still practicing, still getting better at the game and my personal life. Now I am being kicked out because they don't want my failure to be their fault, because they supported me in what I want to do. My PC died one week ago, so now when I play League of Legends I have to use my laptop. I hooked it to the monitor and connected my KB and mouse to it so it is a improvised version of desktop until I can afford a new one. I have no problems with it, other then my graphic sucks, but at this point I will take it. As I main mid lane in League of Legends, and I have big pool of champions that I can play and not lose my lane with, I would like to start writing player guides ( I know... how original... -.- ) but I would really like to help others that were in my position when they just started playing this game. When I started playing the game, I had no idea what CS stands for, or how important it is, but after couple of games I have figured out... ohhh it gives gold.... let me save my gold until I can buy BOTRK and not waste my money on its components... anyone been there before or is it just me ? :P Now I am in Bronze 1 (lost my series the other day :( ) and I know it is not a big thing for many of you but I was at the very bottom of all ranked stats at the start of the season and for me it is my biggest achievement yet and I have no intentions of stopping there. Now, I see this game as a possibility of earning enough money to support myself, afford new equipment and most of all having fun in what I do. I am trying really hard in school to finish computer science (Graphic Design) course and one day develop games or even better work on this amazing game. I have also applied for Riot community job and I strongly hope that they will read my letter. Now that was my short story of League of Legends. My name is Xacred, and I am coming to take the top. :)
