"Try a Champion"

So I have just returned to LoL after a fairly lengthy hiatus, and I have dabbled a very small bit of time into Heroes of the Storm since I have receievd an Alpha key for it recently, but I digress. In HoTS, there is a "try" button when you want to buy a new hero. What this does is allow you to test out a hero you are interested in buying, and it puts you into a game with bots and you play the hero you are trying. It costs nothing to try the hero, but you also receive no Exp/gold(IP) in completing the match. All it allows you to do is take a test drive of the hero to determine if it is worth your gold(or IP in LoL terms) to spend on said hero.

Would this not be a great introduction to LoL? Playing for days or weeks to save up 6300 IP or spending real hard earned money to buy the 10$ worth of RP to buy the new champion, only to have you find that you HATE it for any reason? I see no harm in allowing players to try out a new champion, or any champion they do not own. Put them into a game with bots, if the win or lose they get no IP/exp, and there is no benefit other than seeing if the champion is worth their IP/RP.

The reason I bring this up is that I recently bought Rek'Sai upon my re-entering of the game, and I really dislike how she plays. It wasn't an issue as I was able to refund her, but I can only refund anything 3 times. I will never be able to get that refund back. Had I not been on a new account, as my old account does not have any refund tokens remaining, I would be out 975RP. $10 is not a huge deal to me, but for some people it is. We all know that the vast majority of LoL players re under the age of 18, and as such it is much harder for them to get a hold of not only money, but a way of converting it to RP. They don't have credit cards, transportation, or access to money like those who are old enough to sustain a job do, so losing out on 975 RP is a much bigger blow to them.

That being said, those who DO have ready access to money transportation or credit cards, still find it irritating they spent money to buy a champion they dislike. Sure, they will never miss the money, but it is an irritating thing to have happen. I see no reason why a "Try this champion" option is not in the game already, or why it can't be implemented.

Thank you for your time and consideration, -iDecimus
