Tristana cosplay!
Hello everyone! I just wanted to share my first (of probably many) League cosplay with the community. I chose Tristana for not only design purposes, but for the facts that 1) she was my first ADC main, 2) I'm considered a yordle of society (my height is 4'11, haha), and 3) Boomer; large weapons are my ultimate weakness. I had so much fun making and debuting her at Otakon this past July---she is destined to go down as one of my most favorite cosplays to wear, and most grueling to get in. I added two file photos to show different angles of the cosplay. You can find more photos of my interpretation of her on my FaceBook page, Ravra Cosplay & Design. ^^ For those of you interested in a cosplay breakdown, here's a short and sweet cosplay breakdown. All the purple you see is Mehron body paint. Yes, I'm crazy. The whole process took about 3 hours, but the end result was warf. Her ears, goggles, cuffs, bracer, belt, and shells are made from combos consisting of worbla, wonderflex, dry-foam, and EVA foam. Boomer is made entirely out of this combo plus a thin PVC tube-base to shape the barrel. Boomer is also pretty heavy, I still have yet to actually weigh him, and stands at about 3 1/2 feet. To get the "padded" look for the top, I used a few layers of quilting batting and satin stitched the fine details. The sleeves and fringe-band-thing are infused with thick (I think 70-fusible) interfacing. Though boomer is hiding her weird pants, I constructed a "jodhpurs" pattern to give the thigh area some poof, then created the tan portion separately for detailing purposes. To get the right pattern, I used some more batting then used the trapunto method to make each section pop. Once all the detailing was finished, I hand-sewed the portions together then made the ankle/ foot bandages separately so I could control how tight I wanted the bottom half to look/ feel. Her arm sleeves consist of more batting for the padded look. Materials used: Linnen, cotton, and silk/satin blends. Wig is from Epic Cosplay Total construction time: 3 weeks non-stop, too many hours to count. I am open to any questions about this cosplay on my page, be it construction or general curiosity! Boomer says hi~
