League of Flora print - Sona!

Mochaqt··13 votes·5,636 views
The first of my new set of prints aptly...

As the title implies, I've finished the first in a set of prints I'm creating titled "League of Flora". The basis is portraits of league girlies surrounded by flowers that represent them in the language of flowers. For Sona I chose Jasmine and Aster; Jasmine commonly means grace and beauty, which Sona has plenty of out on the fields of justice, but it can also mean giver of joy. Aster simply means daintiness; not to take away from the punch she can pack, of course!

Let me know what you guys think!

Awesome! Jasmine and Aster suit Sona perfectly! I love this...Syndra next please!

Also: can you add links re: the language of flowers? It sounds like a ripe subject for one of my wiki-spirals-waiting-to-happen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Language_of_flowers or also known as Floriography. I was mostly using a flower dictionary that was at the end of a novel (unironically named The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh) and cross referencing with one or two different sites, though I'm actually kind of sad I can't seem to find the sites now. A lot of flower and plants can have varying meanings, especially in different cultures, but for most there's a general consensus on meaning (like red roses.) I'm looking into buying a dedicated flower language dictionary at some point though since I know they're out there somewhere.

(also i hope my response was ok this is my first time posting on the forums ;v; )

Edit: Here's a link to the dictionary at the end of the novel that I mainly used.

As an artist myself I am going to critique you a bit - for example poses like these are very artistically bland and do not have much character, work on more dynamic poses for err more life and character and such in your pieces

also you got a very man body going on, since men have very broad shoulders, also thick manly arms too - recommendation is to practice copying off of other photos and artworks for practice and help you build muscle memory to create how a man should be drawn, a woman should drawn, child, girl, boy, baby, grandma, grandpa, etc etc to know proper ways to draw everything - also if you have someone that can "model" can help too where you take a photo of the angle that you want and draw him/her referencing that photo

if you need help trying to understand what I am trying to say i guess you can just ask and hope it helps, good job overall though

This is awesome. I voted Syndra, since there was no Akali option. Please consider doing Akali!

Don't worry, she's on my hit list. Almost all the girls are planned out with flowers, I'm just doing them in batches of sorts.

Awesome. I look forward to seeing it!

I know it can't just be me who wants to see one of the deadliest female champs in League (Katarina) get described by beautiful things such as flowers.

Beautiful, Kat out of the ones on that list, Morgana probably most out of all champions. Fallen angel + Flowers :)

I personally would love to see Lulu, Soraka, and Janna! And Taric. Never forget Taric. He needs this.
