CHAMPION CONCEPT ENTRY : Rob, The Senseless

Name: Rob Title: The Senseless Role: Fighter / Tank How he looks: Rough sketch (I'm not an artist) Rob is a young adult maybe 27-30 y/o He stands at around 6 feet 3 inches tall. He will appear as a human shaped being (limb-wise). He is well built, muscular, etc. His entire body is White as if painted white. He is shirtless, (showin' off dem abs) and we can see he has a few scars on his chest and arms showing he has fought fiercely. He wears two arm-band ribbon-like strands of black fabric that flow with the wind. They are ragged and beaten up however they are not dirty, they are deep black. As for pants, they are Black as well, matching the ribbons on his arms. The pants are cut off just below the knees and are decorated with scarce white dots and diamonds (the traditional shape diamond not like a diamond on a ring but like a square tilted over a bit) . They too are ragged and old but not dirty. He is barefoot, scars on his left leg and one more ribbon like strand that is (you guessed it) black on his right leg tied around the shin area. His head is normal, hair and everything. His hair is black, spiked up and combed a little over to the left. He has a futuristic visor that is clearly clamped tightly on to the front of his face. It too is black with 3 grey lines the travel across the visor horizontally. On the extremities of the visor, there are large circular housings that cover his temples and around those housings there is dried blood. The visor only covers his eyes and the lower part of his forehead. His eyes are not visible whatsoever from the outside. His nose and mouth are untouched except for a small scar that is peaking out from under his left eye. In game he would be surrounded with an extremely faint black glow.

Lore: Brought into this world by a poor Demacian couple living on the brink of poverty, Rob begins a lifelong journey. At a mere age of 10 months, Rob was sold as a slave to a Noxian noble. There he was raised through evil morals, was taught to obey the Noxian guard or face the harsh consequences which he usually did. The odd time, he'd be caught talking with his friend he'd come to make. Not a real friend, no, She Was a vision he had when he was lonely. Through the years of abuse he suffered he became accustomed to punishment. At 15 years old, Rob came to the thoughts of leaving, escaping and going to be with his friend. The optimist he was, he asked and was immediately denied to be with his one and only friend. Torn, he threw a tantrum, a rampage that ended with many Noxian guards dead. Rob was to be put to death after a life long sentence to prison.

For 2 decades, Rob lay behind iron bars. The isolation he lived through destroyed his optimism, his hope, his mercy. He was marked permanently by the Glorious executioner a bright white colour. His scars showed through. For 2 decades, Rob never spoke a word to anyone not even to his friend. A single beam of light shone throughout the bars into Rob's cell on a summer morning. Rob was sitting on the floor when he saw in front of him, his friend. She was beautiful, sleek, long hair, sapphire eyes, deep black dress. She told him to come see her. She had something important to tell him. Rob got up to go and confront her when she disappeared. Traumatized, he threw another tantrum where Jones, the warden sitting at the end of the hallway on a rickety wooden chair began to laugh. Now infuriated, Rob broke through the walls of his cell in one punch and ran.

He ran for several days, aimlessly into the flats. About to forfeit to nature, he saw something on the horizon. He trekked over and saw it was his friend. She was laying down in a small wooden canopy oddly placed in the middle of the flats. She had a massive wound in her stomach she had clutched. Rob came to her aid too late. The last words out of her mouth were, "Vengeance is the only Justice." She reached her hand out with a black visor. Rob took it, and watched his friend die hopelessly in his own hands.

He left his friend to lie on the ground, he picked flowers and gave her a rudimentary burial. He placed the visor on and it clamped tightly to the sides of his temples, blocking his vision and entrenching itself into his skull. He tried to get it off with no avail. The inside of the visor let him see what was only essential. He saw vital details he would've missed with the naked eye. What caught his attention was around his friends body was a message written in red mist, reading that his life was now a journey to find his friend's murderer. He looked away not wanting to have to resort to violence anymore. His emotions caught up with him and took over. From there, he set out, alone and aimlessly into the now setting sun, on a life long journey looking to avenge his fallen friend.

Stats: Health 501 (+84) Health regen 6.1 (+0.7) Sensibility 100 (I'll explain this later) Range 130 Attack damage 60 (+3) Attack speed 0.685 (3.5%) Armor 22 (+2) Magic resist 32 (+1.4) Move speed 345

Abilities:

Passive: Senseless vengeance Rob's resource bar is filled with a resource called sensibility. The lower the sensibility he has which is achieved by casting his abilities and taking damage from basic attacks, the more powerful his abilities become and the cool downs on them are shortened. (The goal here is to have 0 sensibility as apart to 100) With 0 sensibility, the cooldowns are reduced by 7.5% and the power of his abilities are increased by 20% with 100 sensibility, there are no benefits. Rob regains sensibility when he is out of combat for 10 seconds or hasn't cast an ability in the past 25/23/20/18 seconds.Maintaining movement towards enemy champions within 1500 range keeps his sensibility at a steady value. However the higher the sensibility, the faster his health regenerates. Starting at (adding to his base health regen) 1.2(+0.05) and reducing according to how little sensibility he has at 0.05(+0.01).

Q : Irreversible Fury Cooldown 7/6.5/6/5.5/4.5 seconds Rob roots himself and strikes enemies in front of him in a moderate cone in front of him dealing 20/30/40/50/60 physical damage +30% of total attack damage per second, shredding 1.25/2/3.75/5.5/7 armour per second and if at less than 20 sensibility, slowing the afflicted target's movement speed by 35% which continuously replenishes itself until the opponent has left the cone. The slow applied lasts for 1 second at all levels. This is an ability that can last as long as you like up to a 7 second cap. Each second that irreversible fury is active and is hitting an opponent, Rob loses 6 sensibility.

W: Unseen Will Cooldown 25/23/21/19/17 seconds. Rob denies 60%/64%/68%/72%/80% of the physical damage from the next single targeted ability, skillshot or basic attack. If Rob has 30 or lower sensibility, this ability will activate with 2 charges of unseen will. Unseen will will place a clearly visible shield to mark it is active and will expire after 1.5 seconds with 1-2 points in the ability, 2 seconds with 3-4 points and 3 seconds with it maxed out at 5 points. If the mark is consumed, Rob loses 25 sensibility. The second charge makes Rob lose 15 Sensibility is consumed.

E : Assertive reposition Cooldown 6/5.75/5.5/5.25/4.75 Passively, Rob's attack speed and movement speed are increased. Upon activation, Rob becomes untargetable and dashes forwards in mouse direction and when he arrives he gains 5/8/11/14/17 bonus armour and magic resist per 3 units (minions, neutral monsters, champions or structures.) he is within 350 range of. This ability holds 2 charges that can be activated 0.5 seconds apart from each other. The bonus armour and magic resist lasts for 5 seconds increasing up to 10 seconds depending on how much sensibility Rob is missing. Rob will lose 10 sensibility per activation regardless of wether or not he was awarded the bonus armour and magic resist.

R : Emotional Furystorm Cooldown 110/100/90 seconds Rob lets his emotions explode from his mind. Emotional maelstrom deals 130/200/350 physical damage plus 0.05/0.1/0.2 percent of the combined total maximum health of all enemies afflicted within a 500 range. Before his ultimate begins to deal damage, Rob must channel his emotions for 1 second. If Emotional maelstrom kills an enemy champion, Rob gains a 120/200/300 health shield. This can only stack twice giving a maximum shield of 240/400/600 health. If emotional maelstrom is activated with less than 10 sensibility, The channel time is halved and the range of the ability is increased to 600.Additionally, All enemy champions afflicted are feared, making them walk uncontrollably away from him for 1 second. After the ability is cast, Rob regains 15 sensibility.

Taunt: Begins doing pushups Look, Im moving the Earth. Begins doing pushups Wanna know how to get guns like these? Spend 13 years in a Noxian prison. Arms crossed You remind me of my friend, ruthlessly murdered with no proof of what happened.

Joke: Pro tip: always call MIA.

Skins: Classic Rob (See "how he looks") Avenged Rob Rob's visor is cracked and his body is greyer and more beaten up. His hair is longer and his ribbons are red instead of black. He is also in a noticeable better mood. He holds a red rose in full bloom.

Refugee Rob Rob is cloaked in a Crimson robe that is torn a worn. He loves more sneakily in game.

Debonair Rob Rob is wearing a fancy untouched tuxedo with a rose tucked in the collar. He is in a pretty happy mood and seems to be dating someone at a table in the splash art (But we can't tell who). His abilities in game are changed from black particles to white ones.

Thanks for reading! i spent a lot of time on this and would appreciate feedback! Im not so good with lore or the actual number crunching it takes for designing abilities but bare with me :) I wrote this on an iPad too so sorry it's not as pretty as the other entries.

EDIT: Fixed typos and missing words in ulti description. Also added and fixed skins to make them more descriptive and desirable. EDIT 2: Crunched numbers. Added summoner pictures for the taunts and also fixed the joke. Thanks Frigid vengeance! EDIT 3: Re-did the lore, making it somewhat more lore-like (It still tells that same story) And I also renamed the ultimate ability because it was resemblant to maokai's ultimate's name.

The main problems I see are with the numbers. Mainly:

  1. He doesn't seem to lose sensibility fast enough. If he enters a fight with full sensibility, then he can't do much.

  2. 30% innate CDR? That's 3/4ths of the max CDR a champion can have.

  3. 75% physical damage reduction at level one on an ability? That's insanely high; more than Alistar's ultimate.
