[Prologue] The prince and the fox - The days before misery

The sunlight falls upon everyone equally, though some may never let the sun shine through their heart.
Like a nature's rule, the forest wakes up in the morning, greeting the sun for the good weather and keep working on its humble goals in life.

This was the time when Mayros found happyness in the arms of a fox, because he and his mother were exiled from Demacia.
Tragically seperated from his birthplace, both had to live through poverty while travelling across Valoran, and finally found a place in Ionia, near Navori.

It was a peaceful and calm town, with caring villagers who offered help for no other reason than enlightenment. Somehow the village seemed to be working like a clockwork, turning everything to perfect harmony.

When the young prince Mayros felt lonely, dissociated from every child in the same age as he himself, he found a young fox puppy. The fox was all alone like Mayros' heart which suffered enough.

Day after day, Mayros cared for the little fox until a war waged in Ionia. Navori was not unharmed, and so a battlefield erupted amidst the peaceful town.

Seperated from the fox and from his mother, Mayros did search for his mother, but could not find her. In the meantime, the fox, who was connected to the magic world found herself on the battlefield, she was drawn to a robed man encircled by a waning field of magic whose life was quickly slipping away. She approached him and something deep inside of her triggered, reaching out to the man in a way she couldn't understand. His life essence poured into her, carried on invisible strands of magic.

She became a human with traits and characteristics of a fox. Fully transformed, her powers became uncontrollable and weak. One who suspected the nine-tailed fox to be the enemy, attacked her at sight and aimed for her death. At the right time, Mayros appeared to defend her, though he did not know who she was.

Not only her powers were uncontrollable, but also her feelings - And so she hugged him with her whole body in love and in passion.

Mayros was the first love of Ahri

Ahri's lore, it's literally what she does, steals the souls/life essence of men in order for her to obtain complete humanity. I seriously doubt she knew how to do it naturally, she must have had it happen on accident at least once, he is the 'perfect candidate' if you will.

Also, why is he from the Shadow Isles, shouldn't he still be alive since the Noxus invasion of Ionia was not long ago in the lore of Valoran.(And I just accidently added more information that proves my point)

I don't know if you've understand Ahri's origin... but Ahri was a fox. You know what a fox is?

Particularly a sub-breed of the wolf and familiar to the dog.

Now in League of Legends, a fox may be more magic - like having a nine-tail. The first sentence of Ahri's lore is that there are many foxes, but only one was drawn to the magical world - it was Ahri. Ahri became a human (partially human - with characteristics of a fox) after draining magic.

  2. Ahri is not a just fox did you know that (I'm sure you did)-- She is a gumiho.

A gumiho is a fox that eats souls, becoming human. It gains 1 tail every 100 years, thus placing Ahri as being 800<x<1000 years old.

-->> Relation: Mayros is dead because humans don't live that long, thus the Shadow Isles is a good start.

Since I don't like making extra posts:

BTW: I never said that the "ionian fox" had connections to the league. The prologue of Mayros shows him how he met Ahri before she transformed and still was there when she transformed to a human - and finally snuggled him.

-> As I said in the other post (in the thread that you deleted), I concluded rapidly that the Ionian fox must have been Ahri. I knew that it had connections to the League because that would make for a nice way to excuse Mayros entering the league himself, and on top of that since this is a Champion Concept, somebody has to somehow get into the League by the end of it-- so as there is an 'Ionian fox' mentioned in prominence it must be important, and having extensive knowledge of Ahri as well as how people tend to write lores connecting Champions together for their concepts, it became immediately obvious to me that it was Ahri.

  1. I deleted it because it got buried by some guy who posted 8 threads exactly one hour after I posted my prologue. It annoyed me that I've wated 2-3 days and the only one who responded (you) didn't even participate on the vote, so I deleted it and reposted it in order to get a place above the 8 threads that were posted at the same time.

  2. I was talking about that Ahri was never partially human - she was a "simple" fox, but in the world of League of Legends, she is a soul draining creature to become human.

Ahri's reason for eating souls / absorbing essence is to become more human. She did so because the first time she absorbed essence, she became humanoid; which is sensible to a degree. It's not, necessarily, that she hates men, but she knew of no other way to become more human.

Ahri was born as a fox. When she drained the magic of a spell, she became "partially" human (still with characteristics of a fox - tail, ears, ecetera). She continuously drains the essence of men to be "more" human (No characteristics of a fox - no tail, no ears, ecetera).

In the lore stays written that Ahri does from her birth on feel uncomfortable in her own skin - she felt like the skin she was given (the body of a fox) was ill fit. If she still has some traits of a fox she wants more essence to be able to walk as a 100% human.

BTW: Why does Ahri drain the essence only from men and not from childrens or women? Her lore indicates that in the beginning when she drained the essence of many men, she first felt guilty after a enormous amount collected. She couldn't have felt guilty or bad in the beginning by draining the essence of innocent people like women or childrens.

My theory: Ahri loved somebody before she felt a grudge against all men.

To be perfectly honest, I don't have a good answer-- but 'men' could be simply short for 'humans', as it is frequently used in this way. /gender neutral bias

I don't think she loved somebody before this, because it would make her not knowledgeable-- without a parent, a child's life suffers, the death of one's love is also devastating. /smartness bias

I suppose there could be thousands of solutions, but I know that the reason she took those lives was to feel more human, not to exact revenge-- because of her lore.

You make a good point, though. It does certainly work.

Ahri's lore indicates that she does not care about others. She seduces men with her charm to absorb their essence. Why is that so? Ahri must've loved someone in order to fall in the state of hatred so that she hates every man. My theory = Mayros. She loved him before she became partially human and even after, but Mayros left her in order to take revenge. That's why her heart was broken when he chose to follow a path of no return.

I said he is related to the Shadow Isles - not that he's from the Shadow Isles.
The Shadow Isles inherit many dangerous and fearful things that can change the mind of men. It doesn't have to particularly need a century to turn someone to evil if the person is not against evil.
