Contrasting Poems

For my English class we had to write 2 poems that had conflicting moods. I decided to try my hand at writing about League and someone suggested I post them here. So here you go:

Perfect Ping

The passion of the game Shines in each player's eyes. The mute musician muses and plays Melodies of peace, harmony, and joy, To reach a great crescendo. The woman with pigtails Is excited for the battle that awaits, And the furry Cottontail is elated By just hiding his cute, little easter eggs. While the blind peacemaker Safeguards his allies With his will like iron, The illuminated lady Is the bright final spark In the serene river As the commotion rests. In this magnificent world, When you hear the satisfying click, click, click, Delight reaches everything When you have perfect ping.

Imperfect Ping

The frustration of the game Burns in each player's eyes. The sadistic warden Viciously reaps and torments, And the ghastly spear seeks To settle the score For screaming sacrificial souls. The undead behemoth of carnage Desires the blood of his foes, And the deadly, pitiless, and ruthless Queen of arachnids Feeds off the helpless for her insatiable hunger. The witch of ice Traps the unsuspecting In a frozen tomb Like a crypt for the doomed. In this world, this ring of chaos, When the click, click, click can be heard yet delayed, Anger grasps everything When you have imperfect ping.
