RIP LoL Fanfic

After writing the Explorer and Love, a fanfic of Ezreal and Lux, I took time to improve my skills as an author, only to return after about two years to find out LoL Fanfiction has died. It is a shame, it is thanks to my Ezreal fanfiction that my skills at writing and creating were able to be shown and practiced. I could just not be looking in the right places, but after checking Story & Art and Community Creations, there is little to no Fanfiction, and the few stories that I think are fanfictions, don't even have over two hundred views. It seems that whenever Riot switched over to the Boards from the Forums, the fanfiction community (writers and readers) vanished. This may be just a stupid post, but I felt it necessary to post this. I will always remember when I was younger, seeing that my story had twenty views and being like, "Oh my gosh! Twenty views! Ah!" Now, it almost has 130,000 views, and is dead (and has not bought its item 3026) along with the others. It saddens. Anyway, rant over.

Yeah, the lore retcon is obviously a huge disappointment. The only thing I think could qualify as good lore now are the champ bios made on release (and never put into the GOD DAMN CLIENT RIOT COME ON!!) and Bilgewater event. The Freljord event had and still hasn't had any sort of resolution. For all we know they're still fighting, or at the very least the civil war has gotten really cold (heh). The Shurima event was made just to shoehorn Azir in at the expense of several other champions' good lore (i.e. Skarner, Rammus). Coupled with what I thought was some pretty lackluster narration, and the fact that after Azir was resurrected, literally nothing has happened. Seriously, he made a fortress rise out of the sands... and now he sits there... playing fucking Jenga with Nasus or something. Any other lore relating to the Institute of War has been up in the air for the past year. Hell, anything not relating to the very specific lore we get is assumed non-canon. Nothing makes sense anymore.

But, despite the lack of activity, we are still very much alive.
