Like i said this was started before Kindred came out as a champion. So I was unaware as to how the champion was exactly going to be. The theme of the song is not the standard notion of death. The theme of the song is Light and Dark. (And I don't think there's any techno here. There are electronic instruments yes, but considering that I'm not exactly billionaire who can afford all the acoustic instruments, electronics was the only option here. The entire beat of the song is medium-slow which is very un-techno-like, the instruments used are very less and the harmonics for the electronics is based on the devil's note or the flatted fifth which signifies death and the devil himself. Interestingly, playing that note set would make you eligible to be hanged about 300 to 400 years ago. :D)
As far as the theme is concerned, for most people death is a dark sentiment altogether. I however beg to differ. In most religious texts, fiction and philosophy, death is considered to be the end of the current journey and the beginning of the next. The darkness reflects that the journey of this life ends and we must leave any and all behind. The light however reflects that you are leaving your current life with all its regrets and sins to start fresh and new. A new journey with a different purpose unknown to all. The white lamb and the black wolf, in my opinion, signifies that very substance of death itself.
As my greatest hero James Hetfield says: Death is not the end. Its a beginning. :D
