My girlfriend made a birthday cake for a friend. He mains pantheon. She says it isn't done yet, but I think it looks good.

The "paper" looks like it may be the sugar paper people use making cakes, because this looks like a baker had made it, meaning they'd have access to things like edible ink printers that can use the sugar paper to print the photos.

That is correct, it isn't paper it is fondant.

Ah, fondant. I was close. I thought it was the sugar paper they use for pictures. Unless fondant is a universal term for things like that.

Fondant is a solid form of icing, a playdoh like substance, and it doesn't taste the best. It's fantastic for decorating and sculpting though.
