Real Time Spectating
Hey, I know and understand why there is a delay in the "Spectating Mode"*. But what if Riot changed the "Spectate Mode" so that you only see the perspective of the player you are spectating. So if I were spectating a friend I would only see what he sees, I can't see the enemies unless they walk past a ward or are near ally minions.
Personally I don't see much harm in this, but i can understand if people disagree. The delay is good but if I were spectating a friend while on Skype, just waiting for him/her to finish their game, I'd rather hear the reaction to the play as it is made instead of waiting 3-5 minutes.
Furthermore, with the amount of people streaming League of Legends, there is a high chance that you can type in their summoner name on "Twitch.tv" and see if they're streaming, sure there is a lag but it is only a 20-30 second lag, compared to the "Spectate Mode" this is a much lesser delay.
I'm not saying I do this, I'm all for a fair game and I am one of those that refuse to kill the "afk/lagging". But, hypothetically, I could cheat my way to victory by watching his/her stream. What I am poorly saying is, I could use "Twitch.tv" and win that way which is indirectly defeating the purpose of the delay.
I could be unlucky but i have been in games that have been ruined because a "teammate" did the above and saw the opponent streaming, thus pinging where the Jungler is and what he/she was saying. Ruined the game and the skill aspect for me :C, by that I mean literally no-one purchased wards.
I know nothing can be done with the streaming issue, and ghosting is something the streamer risks.
Maybe it's just me and I would like to hear your opinion(s) on this.
SHOULD RIOT CHANGE THE "SPECTATE MODE" TO A "REAL-TIME SPECTATE MODE"????
*For those who don't understand the delay, it is so a spectating friend can't assist you and tell you where your opponent is at all times.
