[Champion Concept] Sylvar, The Hextech Bulldozer
Hello one and all. This is the first time in a long time I have tried to submit a creation to the league community so I hope that you not only enjoy it, but also give me feedback so I can edit, improve or simply create more. Thanks!
Name: Sylvar
Title: The Hextech Bulldozer
**Selection Quote: **They won't get in my way laughter
Role: Bruiser / Tank
Secondary: Jungler
Sylvar is a melee top lane / jungle champion who specialises in pure sturdiness early game, a balanced out brawler mid game and as a disruptor to the enemy team during team fights and late game. His combination of abilities give him flexibility in his role for the team, item build and play style to fit the needs of each particular game.
Lore:
Sylvar had always been the thuggish type. From being a bully as a child, then being a hired "crowd settler" in Zaun to finally relocating to Piltover as an enforcer. He not only had the right mentality for such barbaric work, he had the right gadgets and physique for it too.
Through affiliation with certain parties and extensive collateral damage throughout the city Sylvar has attracted the attention of both Vi and Caitlyn, putting him on top of the list of criminals of Piltover shortly behind Jinx. Unfortunately for the law enforcers of Piltover the knowledge of this list eventually reached the ears of their top two targets setting in motion a troublesome alliance between them.
For months on end the Piltover newspapers would be filled with the tales of trauma, destruction and general chaos inflicted by this newfound duo. The people cowered in fear crying out to the police to catch and subdue these criminals so their lives could go on in peace, but try as they might the rampage continued. It was only due to basic nature did the two start to bicker and fight.
One night a few weeks later when Sylvar was asleep, Jinx's desire completely took over. Out of the vast range of guns, gadgets and random tech Sylvar had amassed Jinx had kept her on one for quite some time, a re-tuned hextech revolver that shot a bright beam of colourful death wherever it was aimed. Blissfully unaware of the situation, Sylvar slept quietly surrounded by his equipment until morning where a wild fury overtook him. On the wall sprayed in purple was a note from Jinx simply reading "Thanks for the new toy I think I'll call it Zap!" with a small smiley face beside. Grabbing his Hexshield he smashed through the wall and kept going till almost the entire block around him was falling apart when suddenly he felt a small pinch of his neck and fell to the ground, knocked out by a tranquillising dart from Caitlyn.
He awoke in prison, alone in a cell and for the first time in years he had not a single piece of tech at his side. He tried to break through his surroundings but they were reinforced and he was weaker without his hexshield. He was trapped for days in that cell until he heard several explosions elsewhere inside the building and almost immediately after his door was blown clean off. As he clambered through the chaotic halls of the prison trying to find his beloved tech he found remains of 'Chomper' grenades scattered throughout the complex, it would seem Jinx had not quite forgotten him. Finally re-united with his weaponry Sylvar charged through the cells of the prison, freeing the inmates and filling the streets with criminals and starting a new wave of calamity for Piltover.
Though he had been robbed of one of his prized weapons, he decided to not pursue Jinx on the grounds that she had undoubtedly helped set him free from jail but never again would he be a partner in crime with anyone else.
"I will run free and not you OR those walls will stop me!" - Sylvar

Playing as Sylvar:
1: Once Sylvar stacks up Aggressive he can be quite the duelist, take advantage of this when charged up and auto attack the enemy laner while your abilities are on cooldown to maintain the attack damage bonus.
2: Both Aggressive and Demolition have significant movement speed increases, using both in combination with Bulldoze can be an effective way to catch up with distant enemies or make for a safe escape.
3: Charging in with Bulldoze followed up by Lights Out can be an extremely effective way to reach multiple targets with your ultimate.
Playing vs. Sylvar
1: Though Sylvar has a formidable amount of crowd control, he requires close range for most of it, stay at a distance to avoid being locked down.
2: Sylvar's is heavily ability dependant and has a weak early game, punish him for wasting spells and avoid being hit by spells to stop his sustain on lane.
3: Sylvar requires auto attacks between his spells to maintain the attack damage bonus of Aggressive, avoid him maintaining this bonus to shut down his duelling potential.
Pros:
-
Great Mobility
-
Lots of crowd control
-
Tanky
-
Extremely disruptive in team-fights
Cons
-
Weak early game
-
Combo dependant
-
Item dependant
-
Low damage late game
Well hope you guys enjoy it, I will update with visuals and some actual stat numbers in the near future but for now 2 hours of work is enough for me. Thanks for reading!
