Can't say anything towards a curved monitor, but I have a 2560x1080 ultrawide as my main screen, so I can say a little about that.

It actually helps a bit, as you see a bit more on either end with the added screen area. Downside is that not everything properly scales (and we don't have individual size sliders), so things like tooltips are outrageously big, taking up way more space then they should (so if you click on dragon, you lose sight of most of dragon pit).

But just a heads up for any other games you might be playing. While UW support is growing, it's still not that common except on the larger or newest titles. Older games won't support it at all, and will often look horribly stretched. Some games can get around this by running it in 1920x1080 and then just in windowed mode, but not every older game has that option.

Hands down though, ultrawides are amazing for doing any kind of work (added benefit if you have another second monitor too). You can have two full sized windows open at one time on the screen with no loss in viewing area on either.
