I just went 32/3 nocturne And I warded. You know what rank I got? a A I am so frustrated. What Am I doing wrong?

What was your cs score? And how long was the game for?

Lots of factors go into S grades - I've found out the hard way too bro 4 A's in a row with 15+ kills at one point

Pretty sure someone on your team did good too and S rank is based on how well your team is doing too, to prevent abuse of the system. Otherwise people could try to get on at the same time in pre-mades and try to get S ranks that way by throwing games and etc. I mean your performance relies on your team mates doing well as well. So if they did good then why would you get a higher rank? At least that's what I suspect. I went like 18/3/33 on Sona a long time ago and got an A+ and the only reasoning I could find from what I saw was the fellow team mates did good/better than myself.

Going to presume it is that 15/0/7 Jhin. Who participated in in a total of 22 kills, but had a 7 spread with team mates while you on the other hand have 35 participation kills and only 3 spread out. I'm not saying they are penalizing you for your team playing better, but because your team mate is playing well could contribute to your lack of S because what they do ultimately also effects you.

Unfortunately, it isn't based on your teammates, it's based on how you do compared to others who play that champion in that role. You could play Sona jungle and probably get a good rank simply due to the fact that no one plays her jungle, so there isn't much to compare your score too. Not saying you should play Sona jungle, but that's an easy way to cheese the system for an S.

On the contrary though, everyone plays Sona support, so getting an S there requires more that just being good. There are Sona supports who build full AP and one shot the enemy squishy. Then they are Sona supports who build supportive and deal little damage all game but heal and shield well. That's the problem though is because there is no differentiation between the AP Sona's and the Supportive Sona's, you have to either be overly supportive or overly bursty to get an S. On top of that, you have to take into considerations wards, CS, kill participation, and other things. It may be that you landed 1 5 man ult that won the game, but most Sona's land ult on 1 person every ult, so despite your ult being game winning, it's still just the average CC duration expected from a Sona so it doesn't mean anything for your rating.
