How long does it take for punishment tiers to drop on the boards.

I kept getting banned for the stupidest of shit so i quit my main account for a month to let it cool down (havent recieved even a slap on the wrist on my alt account despite not changing my posting habits so im guessing i was only getting punished due to haveing been punished before i.e punishment tiers)

Or should i just abandon this account because every infraction i make is going to be harsly viewed even though past offenses were months apart and with a week or 2 ban attached to it?

We don't have the same system that the game does; we don't necessarily have hard numbers in place for the type of infraction and cooldown periods. If we did, I think it would be best to share those with you in the interest of transparency.

We're much more interested in whether or not there's an attempt at reform, generally. We're willing to work with people that consistently show progress towards treating others with respect. If your goal is to get away with as much as possible, that's not a good start.

My best advice would be to pay attention to the Universal Rules and whatever your removal notifications have said. If you want to be an active part of the Boards community, make an attempt to be a positive influence! We want the Boards to be a place where people can peaceably discuss the game without getting attacked or harassed. If you keep that in mind, there really shouldn't be many (or any) problems.

Ive been on the forums for years and i NEVER had a problem before.

But i mean now ive gotten a weeks ban for simply saying the word "pwned" on a "ive been perma banned threads.

Thats it. Typed it once and never posted again in that thread again. No harrasment or anything.

That got me a ONE WEEK BAN. And it had been my first infraction in over a month.

We used to have entire "smited" threads where even the reds would join in the fun of lauging at perma banned people.

But now everything is so PC due to volunteer mods... sigh.

Ignore my rant. I just feel like the boards as i used to know it have died.

How long does it take for punishment tiers to drop on the boards.

There isn't a set time, but rather we need to see a decent period of time elapse between punishments, and a history of improved behavior.

You've had 18 actions against you from the old moderation team, including four 24-hour bans and a 7-day ban.

Normally that would probably be just a deletion, yes. But the second part is false, and the reason for the escalated punishment here: you had four previous deletions AND a 24-hour ban within the previous week alone.

You were 1-week banned on 9/9/2017. You had a 24-hour suspension and three removals on 9/4/2017. You had an additional removal on 9/2/2017.

So unless the boards system isnt remembering my punisments i have no clue where your getting 18

You telling me 16 over the course of THREE YEARS is bad?

Thats what? 1 infraction every 3 months.

Then you guys took over and since then ive gotten 11 in 3 months.

Thats an 1100% increase in infractions.

I didnt change. It was YOU GUYS that changed.

And started punishing for things that didnt deserve punishments.

Edit: bah no point in arguing. Ill just use my alt account for the next 6 months or so.

Edit 2: i mean cmon this was one of my deleted posts. Its literally a joke. Feminist say a thing called pink tax exists that makes things cost more if its female oriented.

This comment was called sexist. When it 100% isnt. I guess i should of starting fighting against some of these original infractions.

"It's cuz your female. The system deducted points for your pink tax all women pay."

That's a possibility -- I'm confident my end is displaying properly, as I can see full details for all of them.

That's actually fairly high. Most boards members don't receive any actions aside from possible an incorrect board deletion, but that's not really relevant to the discussion.
